It has been mentioned many times... but in a few words... PayPal has its eye on us.

Why not channel the donations directly to the hosting company? Several other sites that I use do that. That way no-one has to use their Paypal to receive donations, no-one has access to the funds and users can use whatever they want to donate. Paypal, Moneybookers or even direct transfer.

Because the hoster only accepts Visa or PayPal.

If people directly paid from PayPal to the host then many people could get their personal PayPal accounts closed.  TB would also have to divulge host info to the user base.

Paying by personal Visa is a bit riskier as it is assigning a real person's name to TB and that is sticking their head up for potential legal ramifications.

It seems that my graphic I created is needing to be used again - but this time for the wrong reason

And this time, it's for real.

Torrent-Damage has received a Cease and Desist notice from FACT (Federation against Copyright Theft), and while FACT are UK based (and none of us are), the operators of this site will stick to their gentleman's agreement and comply with any such request - for the safety of the staff members and its user base.

It is with much sadness to announce that Torrent-Damage will be closing its doors on the 5th of August, 2013. Effective immediately, the tracker will be shut down and all torrents removed (thus complying with the cease and desist order).

We wish all of our members Godspeed for the future, and hope that our community was of a great benefit to you while it was here.

With much sadness, a fond farewell

In Aus, we have pre-paid creidt cards through the post office. They require no identification to purchase, no proof of details. They work the same as a 'burner' mobile phone. Is it possible everyone donates to a designated paypal account that would no longer be affiliated with the site in any way shape or form. Then the paypal account keeps topping up the pre-paid credit card which would be used to pay for the server costs?
Here is a link to the card

In theory it works. I have no 1st hand knowledge of the card other than what friends have told me.
