Getting "the boy who cried wolf" kind of feels from this, because on this site it's been pretty much these same news and announcements once every couple of months. But I dunno.. maybe it really is for real this time.

Many other trackers take Bitcoin donations.

Pull the fucking tracker offline, host the forum on cheaper hosting due to no tracker load until we can actually sort this. No torrents, no piracy, no fucking paypal problems!

This way the community stays together, if staff don't want any part of the site anymore, leave, someone else can take charge.

It sucks but its been a longtime nothing last forever unfortunally, dont really care about the torrents here TB been great over the years but the last year its all been going down, but im gonna miss the forums other top torrent sites got really shitty communitys they might be top notch with 100% uploads seconds after "pre" which is great but without a nice community its just another website you visit daily without any interaction.

But lets see what the future brings torrentbits was a huge loose back then. but we got to see torrentbytes still with a great community we can hope some day another couple of guys gonna make something familiar.

Can we start another topic for the people that have given up and started begging for invites/trackers and keep it out of this one. Staff, please don't ban these people, it's kinda your fault they are looking for new homes!

Is anyone from staff going to at least look at the idea of pulling the tracker offline? If not, wipe the fucking staff page and give the place to someone that will fight!

Sad to see this place go, I hope you can retain the forums at least. Other than the packs and a movie here or there (that I could get someplace else if I so desired) I don't really download much. Was a member of Torrentbits and pretty early in on the bytes as well, and probably visited more or less every day for that last 8-10 years. Dunno how long Bits existed for. I will mourn.

My Spleen recently had a Kickstarter project going to fund the next year's site costs. Basically you paid to fund some fan art of an old cartoon show. Easily made what was needed.

Ah... read some other posts and it's more linking the site to a person rather than obtaining the money.

Is there a member in a country where it wouldn't matter? Nigeria? Somalia? Kit Islands?

oh hell not again, honestly this is the best aggregation site ive ever known, theres no need for any other and any other ive been to has been a shadow of whats achieved here

im not going to be as forward as some of the posters in this thread, the organisers have done an amazing job todate and I would buy a beer for every one of them if I could, but going forward surely someones got the will to find a solution?

+1 for keeping the community together on a private forum. I may not have been the most vocal poster, but I've been an avid lurker :-)

I'd also like to say thank you to all the staff past and present. I've been here a long time and you will be sadly missed.

If this is really the end, I'd like to add my voice to the request for staff to show leniency towards members of this community asking for invites please. This site has been amazing over the years and people haven't had to look elsewhere. I for one have left other sites because TB was, well just frankly better...

If its got to go, then its got to go.

Staff have called "the end".

Give the site to someone who wants to carry it on, wipe the staff page! You have given up, surely it would be better to be VIP's on a site that might carry on than staff on a site that died!

Surely you want the place to carry on even if you are not running it? If not, TBy is the not the place for you. Many old staff have stepped aside for the good of the site, they had the balls to know when to leave!

Don't just select the 1st offer to run the place, there are many old trusted members around who like the old ways, who won't spank the place with ad's or pay2leech!

Put the site in their hands if you can't do it!
