Have you also considered the fact ,that it is seldom you see in Swedish subtitles in downloads. There are Norwegian to Hebrew, but not Swedish. If there is any other language in the film like Russian (example), who does not need subtitle then?.

I was born in 1973 and began learning English in the third grade. Many I had games c64, Amiga 500, Atari st. Like many of us had. VCR and cassette players became very normal quickly.
English is my second language, which is for most of the Swedes.

I got tv in my room and watch english horror movies late at night.
Got a porno channel to but it was all blurry, just could here the sounds.
But for a 14 to 15 year old boy, thats not a problem hehe

MTV was often on ,almost forgot.

I don't hear just as often, it's runs polar bears in the streets here

And also make a point ,why i think there is no swe subs in many media.
We jerked away them long time ago.

Or am i just bored and tired?..

Swedes don't need it
plus the law they are enforcing now shutting down swedish subtitles sites because of copyright.
2 or 3 times i looked for swedish subs and it was for my mom and the movies were some old Elvis movies which had no subs anywhere online anyway

edit:::

something that bugs me A LOT!! is when you have english subs(because when you watch a film like transformers 0400 in the morning you cant wake ppl without getting evicted) and ppl start chatting in japanese, chinese or russian and the subs only say  "speaks japanese" "speaks chinese" "speaks russian"

what is the point of the subs then ? lol
they could as well say "speaks english" and have none

That website was closed because they were sharing copyrighted subtitles (along with user made ones) that were ripped straight from the original DVD's.

I just use English subtitles whenever they're available. Helps when the dialouge is going fast :-)

I use these https://pre.corrupt-net.org/?qid=R7M whenever I can get a hold of them.

They are hard to find but they match all blu ray releases.
