Here's an interesting conundrum.

A friend of mine has a Sony Ericsson J20i phone, and the front panel just came off on it's own, ripping the cable connecting the screen / front panel to guts of the phone.

I can't power the phone on (the power button being on the front panel) without actually plugging it into a PC / power socket. The main problem is that after powering on, the phone is in memory-card mode, meaning applications like the PC Suite for SE doesn't recognize the phone.

The question is, can one recover any contact data from the phone, now that it's in a state like this?
