I have two Dell XPS 8300 Desktops that may require a video card upgrade soon, which in turn may force me to upgrade the PSUs as well. Since I don't know much about PSUs, I was wondering if someone could give some advice. Can PSUs be compared in terms of efficiency or is it just a matter of knowing the Wattage you want and the connectors you need?

The XPS 8300s still have the original Nvidia GT530 and the 460W Dell PSU p/n 2Y8X1. Without talking about video cards for now, would the Corsair 750TX (p/n CMPSU-750TXV2) be a good replacement?

The only thing I'm afraid of is not having the same connectors that go here and there... I'm a newbie when it comes to power supplies. :-/

the corsair will probably have more connectors than you will need - the system doesn't appear to be ancient, so no worries there

the 750TX would most likely be overkill, though
what graphics card do you want to put in there? What are the specifics on the rest of the hardware?

Honestly, for a single, single core video card, any PSU over 550W will be too much under normal circumstances

And yes, there are differences in efficiency - naturally, most high efficiency PSUs tend to be a little more expensive; not by much, though, most quality PSUs will be 80+ gold certified anyway

Ended up getting an Altec 550W, modular, so I only used what I needed. No plans to replace the video card yet. Thank you.
