I have two slasher films whose name I would like to know again.
I have only faint memories.

1. This slasher film takes place in a snowy place. It starts to snow heavily so the group decides to take shelter in a building which turns out to be a mental asylum(i think).

xXx Found xXx - Wrong Turn 4

2. The first scene here is a couple who are rock climbing and the guy falls down. Wrong turn had a similar scene but this is different.

I know i don't have much to go on.
Both are fairly new films. Definitely 2000s; may be even after  2005.

A guy falls while rock-climbing with 2 others at the start of A Lonely Place to Die (2011), if it's not the one you're after I'd like to say it's still well worth a watch. A decent rock-climbing thriller with lots of great aspects.

I'm pretty sure I know the one you mean, I'll get back to you when I've got the answer.

The one I thought about was High Lane (Vertige) (2009)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1433562/

If you're into those kind of movies movies check out:

The Hills Have Eyes

Wolf Creek

The Descent

Hostel

I went on a little binge of these kind of movies a few years back. After watching about 10 of them they all start to seem like the same movie.

SaveFerris, it is A Lonely Place to Die. Wow. Good answer. It is a very good film.

GettoSmurF, I haven't seen High Lane yet but I will soon. Thanks for the recommendation. But I have seen the rest of the films you mention. All are top drawer for a horror/slasher fan. Alas, I need more I love going on a binge of these movies. It's great fun.
