Has the game gotten easier or have people gotten better at playing it?
Both. Classes are much easier today than they were before so people will learn their class faster, meaning they will be better than the average player compared to before.
This also makes theorycrafting easier so the optimal rotation is easier to find.
This also removes the need to change rotations and rotating classes during bosses.
So all in all the raiding player today don't need to know more than rule #1 (don't stand in shit).
Back in the old days you needed to organize the raid and everyone needed to know what to do and rotate classes to conserve mana (5 second rule).
And tanks was required to know how to stance dance and doing this correctly. Also this rotating between tanks and stances to have maximum uptime of fear breakers without taking to much damage. This while tanking and in some cases dpsing.
Today there are no stances anymore just buffs. So you no longer to keep track on your rage and abilities to be a good warrior.
Back in vanilla and tbc you could tell who was a good warrior and not. The one with tactical mastery was good, the one without was a casual clicker.
So yeah game got easier so it is easier to be a good player and easier to organize a successful raid.
Is this topic for trolling or are ppl actually so clueless, but still comment as if their pre-cata experience made them the know it all to give statements about the game in its current state ?
Wasn't this originally a topic about a private server for WoW? I suggest you all could start playing there and reminiscence about your scrub guilds who raided when there was "hard" encounters.

On topic, I dont see the fun in playing on a private server, I loved all expansions and played the crap out of each but I wouldnt want to go back tbh. Still raid though.
I'm sad that I may have frightened away our Hardcore Yinchie once again. This happens every 6 months or so until he gets enough courage to come back when most people have forgotten about his retardness.
