A quick question for any one who knows/cares...

I've noticed recently that the 1080p versions of some films are taking some time to appear on the tracker, if at all.
For instance the 1080p of Evil Dead has not been uploaded despite there being a scene release:
Evil Dead 2013 1080p BluRay x264-SPARKS
and at the moment:
Trance 2013 LIMITED 1080p BluRay X264-AMIABLE
both of which I downloaded from a different tracker.
I understand the whole upload thing at torrentbytes is an automatic process from irc or ftp or whatever, I was just wondering if there was any reason for this I was not aware of.

You're going to get a lot of responses that state the obvious; "We get what the uploaders upload". Some responses may seem harsh.

I understand that, there's a ton of 1080p rips of Evil Dead out there. However none of them on here.
Do you need more uploaders?
I'm sure there's plenty of people here with access to stuff, myself included

If you're not satisfied with what's being offered here and you're in a position to do something about it, then by all means, apply to be an uploader.

was looking through forums for this.

TB has always been a bit behind other site but i have never bothered with other sites since this one is really nice and i dont really care about release time.

TB is still really quick for most tv shows(and you get the advantage of getting it right off the bat at your full connection potential) but lately the movies are really lagging behind. Lots of recent movies came out and they are still not on TB after a few days (Fast 6 mainly in 720p)

I dont care at all, i love this site im just wondering whats up and how can i help as someone with access to nothing

Only p2p webrips is out 720/1080p but quality is top notch why do you guys care so much about scene still, so many p2p groups does the job faster and better cause of no stupid old scene rules.

didnt know it wasnt scene. I stopped caring about FTP's and all that crap when i turned 17 many years ago. Let's just enjoy a good movie in good quality. AFAIK TB started to upload most good p2p releases anyways(just have to check the little p2p tab)

And Zaktron - while there are some truly great non-scene torrents - the majority is still shit, and I do mean effing SHIT!
So either allow certain p2p-groups on the site - but then people will whine about why their favourite group like Yifi aren't allowed.
And with maybe only one month left on the site, do you think staff would go through that extra work?
Or allow evertyhinh p2p and this site will become full of so much crap nobody wants to be here anymore.

So true there is so much shit from p2p, comes often 10-15reencodes of the same movie but i keep to a few grps or read comments for unknown ones and you will end up with good stuff but TB always been about scene releases and its fine there is other places for p2p stuff would be boring if every torrentsite had same content also.

do you guys know why p2p has good 1080p releases of Gi joe and fast 6 and there is still no scene release a few days later?

We do have non scene categories for movies (xvid,brrip and x264).
Unfortunately currently we don't have uploaders who have sources (acceptable legit sources, not other torrentsites etc.) to fill them up.
There are lot's of movie packs from p2p groups(s) though.

As for the original post, sometimes the automatic uploading process fails (script fails due various reasons) and it can take few days before the person (uploader) who is in charge of that comes along and notices it and fixes it. These people have real life stuff to do and they are not able to monitor all stuff in daily basis, especially when it's summer and people have all kinds of things to do.
The source can also be down for few days.
There are plenty of reasons why there are lack of releases for a short period of time.
