!!!ATTENTION FITNESS GURUS!!!

I'm the market for a good treadmill. Sturdy enough for 14st man to use. Fold up preferable, but not essential. Looking for around £2-300. If you have any personal reviews of any you have it would be much appreciated.

Oh, please no second hand stuff if poss

Cheers,
Ezzy.

Go outside and walk or spend your money on a gym membership. You're around 88 Kg?

I don't really wanna go running outside yet. I'd rather get a bit fitter before that! As for a gym membership...had one a long time ago for a local gym, powered it for the first few months then fizzled out. Also, I don't fancy going back and forth to the gym, just seems like wasted time when I could get home and run for an hour.

Any treadmill recommendations then?

why no second hand stuff? When it comes to second hand purchases nothing beats used exercise equipment since its almost always practically brand new and people basically give it away because it takes up so much space.

I actually meant people on here trying to get rid of their old stuff on me. If anybody spots a good ebay listing thats fine by me.

If you're near a Decathlon I found they had pretty good prices on treadmills.  Forget the fold-ups, they tend to be too shaky and flimsy when you're on them.

Treadmills are for women. Running/hiking in the woods is far better, especially if you have any mountainous areas.  I used to (when fitness was an issue)  fill a rucksack with bricks or anything heavy and blast up and down the North Georgia mountains.  Great workout.

Just get that gym membership. Noone is going to look weird at you for being heavy at the gym. You'll get way more respect when you slim down.

Also, 2-3k is going to get you a long ass subscription.
Lastly, don't run on the treadmill when you're at the gym, lift weights. Run there and back if you want to run.

Just get that gym membership. (Don't want a subscription) Noone is going to look weird at you for being heavy at the gym.(Thank God because I wouldnt expect that anyway ) You'll get way more respect when you slim down. (Not too arsed about restecp)

Also, 2-3k is going to get you a long ass subscription. (2-300 not 2-3000 )
Lastly, don't run on the treadmill when you're at the gym, lift weights. Run there and back if you want to run.

Thanks for the advice though. Much appreciated.

Go into your local tube station and run up and down the escalators the wrong way, does the same job and also you can tone your self defense skills against angry commuters

Not out yet, but you should get one of these when they arrive:

I guess you have to buy an oculus rift as well though, so that adds a bit to the expense.

To be perfectly honest, at that budget, you're way better off getting a good pair of sneakers. That and I'd never recommend a treadmill for actually getting fit. They're supposed to be used for warm ups/off days, not actually getting into shape.

But if you absolutely have to, do what was suggested and get a used one, as I can't really think of any decent models at that price. If space allows it, avoid a fold-up (they really are flimsy as fudge), they'll fuck up your legs even more.
