The site should survive July. Not much more than that if nothing changes though. Last of the previous donations were just used for the host bill. The rest we'll have to... dig up somewhere.
We are looking at one option right now, but it is a big question mark at the moment.

few things, save someone else the trouble...
first, donating doesn't help the ratio on this site. you have to seed.
in summation,its my understanding the issue here is not a shortage of people willing to donate but that there are legal hurdles re: collecting funds for an illegal website... if someone collected funds and the "authorities" traced it back to them its a big time problem.
it isn't possible to donate as of now.
there is a lot of history in this thread regarding the issue if you look into it.

Don't usually get involved in the forums, but just thought I'd say that I've been a member of the site for a few years and you guys do a great job. I'd hate to see the site disappear... If you work out a way to get donations flowing, put it in the 'news' on the front page and I'll gladly contribute towards keeping this place alive.

If this site really does cease to exist, it's an end to an era. There's a bunch of us here since the old TBits, and the community, and staff on here have all been awesome through the years, and I'm seriously gonna miss the hell out of this place.
Hope we figure something out, even if just to keep it around as a community site, if not a torrent site, but thanks for the awesome 8 years guys!
I've never been much of a community member here in the forums but if the site really ceases to exist I just wanted to thank you guys for keeping Tb going after that fateful christmas in 04.
I was pretty happy to get back into TBytes after that, even though i lost my original account. All the best to everyone involved! This has been the best torrent site in my book for years and it will be a somewhat sad day for me if this era comes to an end.

If all else fails (for whatever reasons) why not move via a Swiss account?
The Swiss don't give a flying fuck about PayPal or other systems and don't care what governments say needs to be reported.
I don't DL much from here and tend to use my shit ISP to UL from other sites as well as it allows...but I would really miss the forums and random pic/news threads.
@timex- From what Bob said above, bank accounts require too much exposure to possible prosecution as the account can be directly linked to someone. No one wants to be the front man with their name on the bank account.
@all- I've read most of the threads but I've missed the answer to this somewhere. Why don't these work? Purchased with cash and information sent by PM?
Does the host not accept multiple payment methods for one bill? Such as using multiple of these directly on the host's payment system?
I know there are many no id, cash purchased cashier checks that would work for that. At least in the US. But I would guess the staff doesn't necessarily want everyone knowing the host and account number.
TB could also get commission on 'seedboxes' @ the hosting provider. Aka we give 10 per month for a seedbox and tb gets 25%-50% of profits. Ideally we'd overpay giving TB more $$$.

yeah even if the torrents are gone I still enjoy the global chit chat we have here so is it at least possible to save the forums, has to be super cheap and legit to run that right?
