But once they declare bankruptcy, where are they going to get the money?
If I go into debt to the point where I go bankrupt, the people that used to give me credit cut me off when I file and my name is no good for a certain amount of time.
If it's a business, I close the business that's in my name,file bankrupcy, open a new business in my wife's name and life goes on.
What's Detroit going to do? Change the name of the city and go on with their lives as if nothing happened?
Will the Federal Bank of China give them the money?
Just wondering because I'm sure that the bankruptcy laws are different between The States and Canada plus it's the first time that I've ever heard of a city actually going bankrupt even though most are run at a deficit.

I have zero doubt that Obama will bail them out since the main causes of this is dem politcans, unions, and non tax paying 'dem voters'.

very sad. That is one of those weird things growing up that (at least when i was younger) parents rather their kids play tackle football because it was actually safer than having them mess around with aluminum bats and hard baseballs. This kid died by simply getting hit with a thrown baseball so you can imagine the damage a line drive can do.

The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.

Gage issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.

One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that “none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily.”

Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Lexington met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the government’s plans.

During a tense standoff in the Lexington town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right-wing extremists.

Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange.

Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths. Before order could be restored, armed citizens from surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces over matched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat.

Governor Gage has called upon citizens to support the state/national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order. The governor also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops.

Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as “ringleaders” of the extremist faction, remain at large.

And this fellow Americans, is how the American Revolution began, April 20, 1775.

No place on TV or the Radio is even a bit of news on this.

Bottom line the Governor and the National Guard can go fuck themselves...unless they want to be run off out of town by the People again.

On closer reading of it you are on it in that respect.

My 2nd reading makes my wonder how the hell all those ALUMINUM aircraft part got covered with a radioactive item.

'Depleted Uranium" if far from being nonradio active,it is simply the leftover isotope from fuel/weapon grade.

Knowing a bit of chemistry that contaminated ALUMINUM could be aerosol weaponized as a terror weapon.

No way. If if was staged it would have been 1 person driving w/o passengers, certainly no kids, and Zimmerman the only guy involved in the rescue.
