PVP: The pvp is arguebly the best in any mmo right now. It is the most balanced and they have Conquest. Conquest is 3 faction pvp on MASSIVE maps (they converted an entire zone into a battleground for conquest) and they just brang out a new Conquest map in 2.1
The WarFronts (battlegrounds) there is 7 I believe, and they are well made. On the weekends they even have alternate versions of their ordinary maps to spice it up.
The PVP balance isn't perfect but again it is the best there is atm. Nothing is perfect but its pretty good! I play mostly a rogue Sabatour (AOE spec) that throws bombs and lays traps and does alot of splash damage and my mage. My mage spec is Necromancer (most people describe is just like oldschool WoW Warlock but better) and Pyromancer. Think FireMage in WoW (I dont know how firemage's are anymore I havent played in years but in RIFT its basically a burst damage spec with proc's)

PVE is simply amazing. Between zone events encompassing entire zones and world bosses showing up in the events and the constant World Events they have going on their simply isn't enough time to get bored in RIFT. I am living proof of this. I have never played an MMO longer then 3 months because I get bored. I have been playing RIFT now non-stop for over a year because before you even have time to get bored theres new content being put out.
Case in point. They just released the biggest MMO expansion anyone has ever put out, tripled the world size, gave 4 new souls, upped all the professions, brang in player housing, dimensions, 2 10 man raids, a twenty man raid and chronicles (mini raids) and a new Conquest map and this is only the stuff I can think of off the top of my head.
Not even 3 weeks later and they have already released patch 2.1 with more stuff and another new 20 Man Raid and the Yule Fae world even has started for Christmas.
Yes it does take the top guilds a long time to take down the end raids. I believe it was 6 months before someone finished Infernal Dawn.
No there is no class any more fun to play then the other. Each one has 6 soul trees you can mix and match and there's just so much in each one that they are are all fun and the possibilities are almost endless so there is A LOT to play with I play all of them.
I play Rogue and Mage because I enjoy ranged classes like Beast-Master and MM from WoW and Mages but I even like melee classes like the warrior in RIFT.

When you say stuff like "best there is" it gives me the vibes this is a very biased review and does not reflect the average players point of view of the game. So I guess I just have to play my 30 days and judge for myself.
Anyway thanks for putting down the effort giving your thoughts about this game.

The females in this game has normal sized boobies. I seriously don't like that in fantasy games. It just feels so off.
So when making my character I can't make her look sexy in my point of view. They are just the normal average lady with a weapon.
What I want in games is boob slider or a bit larger the average sized boobies. Like SWTOR
Second of all I don't like the animations and the feeling of interaction from your controls onto your character. It is not as smooth as later MMOs. It is on par with Guild Wars 2 but it just don't give that smooth and responsive interaction I want.
Anyways since I hardly have any experience from the game so far the graphics is ok but what impresses me is that the game runs so smooth. Even with maxed out settings playing with Eyefinity you have no hickups at all. It's like they managed to make a really good game engine.

I'm pretty sure my HTPC can play this. Problem is that I don't have full size keyboard and mouse for it. But like I said earlier the game runs smooth as butter in sun shine!
Made a defiant cleric on wolfbane, and i like it so far, lvl 7 atm runs smooth on my pc, which really lack a good graphic card :/
Just downloaded the game and logged in, so i guess iam on some kind of trial version,

Yup you can, you just need to go to your trainer in Meridian. Also all abilities when you lvl are automatically given to u on the spot and u dont have to pay to upgrade them. They just magically appear in your character tab when you level and u can throw them right onto your hotbar

Im also back at rift, since the release of storm legion and im glad my old guild members are all back aswell after SWTOR/GW2 adventures.
Having lots of fun in the new raids just like ol times and the dungeons are fun too.

As of today Rift has gone f2p and I played for about an hour to see what it was about and it was good. My question is is the game pretty much the same from 1-whatever max level is where you basically run around closing rifts or is there more to it?

From when I played it was a pretty generic mmo, apart from the rift feature. Do quests, run dungeons, hit max lvl, do dailies, do dungeons, raid, bigger rifts.
not really a big one. Most important items are the cosmetics, they make you look fancy but other than that....
You are slightly slower in gaining notoriety,favor,exp. If you dont buy the boosters but it doesent really matter tbh.
As for leveling speed. It took me 5 days (with a friend) to get to lvl 50, without boosters. We did quests till 45 and then mostly instant adventures (which are RIFTS best feature ) and zone events.
The only real "pay 2 win" thing for me is , on a highly populated server , the patron queue. You skip the queue for the poor and end up in the premium queue for the server , so you can get in faster.
They also limit your bags to 3 and you cant specialize in some of the souls specs (or whatever they are called). I think they fucked up with people who made characters with one of the free (up to lv20) account before they went full f2p. I had made one a few days before they went f2p and I still can use 5 bags and now have access to those storm legion soul specs. I was able to reroll with tactician spec on my rogue and didnt have to pay any cash for it, but a character I made after cant access them without "buying credits".
