Yup. BC2 was such an awesome game. Is it still actively played?
I'd love for EA to make some new maps, though that seems unlikely .
Most of the really good players have moved on so you get quite a few noobs now who think they can charge a tank as a Medic instead of taking cover.
There's no satisfaction in mowing them down so I try going back later for better players and they usually turn up but the games aren't packed like before.
I played BC2 and I still very much enjoy bf3. Currently playing a lot of CTF since the new map pack, but also a lot rush. Sniping is still fun as hell. 710m longest headshot.
Playing that new Star Trek game. I thought it would suck and it definitely looks like it might suck, but funnily enough it doesn't! The shooting is decent enough, and the minigames add a bit of spice. A pleasant surprise. Not worse than many Mass Effect missions.

Finished Star Trek in Co-op was pretty ok, playing Neverwinter mmo at the moment.

How good is Neverwinter? Thinking about trying it out.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. This is fantastic. How does a tongue in cheek spoof provide a better and more fun gaming experience than 95 percent of games out there?!
Well I take that back somewhat, it does get a bit repetitive after a while, particularly in the sandbox part (who'da thunk that huh!), but still, it's both great fun while being a good game. I'm looking at you, BioShock.
I TAKE IT ALL BACK HOLY SHIT THIS IS GREAT THAT ENDING
Since I have a little bit more time right now I started on a mission to actually start and/or finish a buttload of games.
Rage - Entertaining for the most part but overall the main storyline is pretty weak. Some nice missions and characters but seems to me like wasted potential, especially the final mission is extremely anticlimactic.
Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty + Heart of the Swarm - Mildly entertaining ... but honestly the campaign/story is pretty dumb/cheesy. Well I guess if you buy it then for the most part to play multiplayer.
Call of Duty - Black Ops II - Pleasantly surprised. Yes, the gameplay is run of the mill Military Shooter. But the campaign and story isn't soo bad (4 different endings wasn't something I expected from a CoD) and the weapon handling and shooting is just fun.
And right now I'm close to the end of Dark Souls ... well what can I say that hasn't been said before, you either love it or hate it I think. But once you've overcome the initial "wtf am I doing here" it's pretty much an amazing experience and I would have to place it in the top ten games of the last 10 years.
You mean.. Dark Souls, sansibar? if so, then yes! it's a fantastic game! Im currently playing it without any gear using the dagger and sword you get from
giving artorias soul to his friend, the one mourning by his grave
it's super difficult, but fun!
I just bought system shock 2 on steam so I'll probably play that but first I'm going to get the "little rocket man" achievement in Half-Life 2: episode 2.
World of Tanks mostly, but it is X5 exp for first win this weekend so there will be many polish players on, which i dont want in my team(automatic loss), so staying away till monday and i will go for one day with the X5 bonus with a 3 man platoon, in a platoon you can still win a match with a bunch of n00bs
other that WoT I play a lot of SWTOR, star wars the old republic, very good class quests, only finished jedi knight, about to finish imperial spy and then sith warrior, ofc after that i have 5 other excellent stories left I just love the dark side, "I will bathe in their blood"

Try making my pugilistbuild with dualwielded dragonbone fist!
Yes, of course. Fixed that, I blame lack of sleep .
I'm using Ornstein's Armor and a Black Knight Greatsword (switched quite recently from my upgraded Black Leather Armor and still have to use Havel's Ring to keep my mobility).
I'm avoiding all guides/walkthroughs/videos since I think the mystery of the unknown adds a big part to the game but I think I missed quite a few things because of that.

Was thinking about playing Black Mesa + all of HLČ with cinematic mod ... but first all the games I haven't played already.
That's nice, Although I wouldn't recommend playing half-life 2 with the cinematic mod. Yes, I know you can remove the alyx model they implemented but it also changes the lightning, objects colors etc. It changes the atmosphere and tone of Half-Life 2, for the worse. It's very amateurish work, especially compared to what valve crafted. However I regard half-life as one of the (if not the) best gaming franchises ever so I might be SLIGHTLY biased.
And I do believe that your way of playing Dark Souls is the most enjoyable one.
If you like ARPG's and was disappointed with Diablo 3... this game is for you, it's also free to play with the option to buy microtransactions (spell effects, additional stash tabs etc)
It does have problems (desync being a major problem) and it's a grindfest end game, but it's still worth playing.
Had to take a break from Dark Souls in order to keep at least a little shred of sanity.
So I went ahead and started and finished Tomb Raider.
The good:
- Eye candy ... definitely one of the prettiest games so far. And with the latest patches and drivers even with Tress Fx enabled playable with a Geforce card.
- Story ... liked the transformation from somewhat innocent girl to the kickass Lara Croft a lot. Enjoyable Characters and even though the whole story doesn't have any surprises (except for the 2 hidden messages in the GPS beacons) it's entertaining and not too over the top filled with supernatural things.
- Skills and Crafting ... nice way to implement a form of progression, well done.
- Combat ... liked the combat system with the mixture of melee and shooting, you kinda have to since there is a shitload of it ... which brings me to
The bad:
- Not enough puzzle/platforming ... especially the optional tombs are a huge letdown, just one room with a really easy puzzle and that's it?
- Difficulty ... way too easy. While the combat is ok on hard difficulty (not really hard but al least ok) the rest is just too easy. Due to the exploring skills, survival instinct and the maps the whole exploring is just too easy. And somehow it seems like since Assassins Creed that climbing in games is just pointing the analogue stick in one direction, that's just boring.
So, final verdict: Nice reboot. And since Uncharted is going to stay PS exclusive it's the best in this genre a PC user can get. Looking forward to the next games.
Metro: Last Light. Quite enjoyable. More of the same, really, no big changes from the first one. Funny how even a corridor/rail shooter (sometimes literally) can be a solid game. Surprisingly long, too. At least by today's standards.

Just finished playing it. Great fun and lots of giggles. And thought the fast running and no damage from falls actually made the open world stuff much better than the original
