So were opening it up for you guys to design something suitable.
The new icons should make it easy to recognize each category from the image and be uniform in their design, basically try to make them match each other.
Rules:
No Animations.
The icon sizes must be 48px x 36px to ensure they fit the page correctly.
A maximum file size 3kb.
An icon is required for all categories listed on the browse page or your entry will be classified as invalid.
The icons have to be made by user him/herself! No borrowing/stealing.
The competition will close when there is sufficient amount of entries, with minimum of one month. Staff will either pick a winner or create a poll for everyone to vote for their favorite.
The prize for the winner will be a custom title of your choosing and xxx amount of free leech.
Here's my entry. I've tried to keep some of the original colors and categorized other types by color in the various categories. I've also tried to keep the icons as simple as possible. Here they are lined up:
