I know im in the minority but i think this has been a great summer with the scifi show. Continuum is great, Defiance picked up and ended strongly, Falling Skies as I predicted is a must watch, and even Under the Dome in all its cheesiness is very enjoyable.
So falling skies is watchable now? I only paid attention to the first few episodes when it started.
Did not like the family drama and retardation shown by lead characters.

Well said and completely agreed.
I'd given up on defiance until a mate at work said it had got better, so I burned through the last 6/7 eps and I'm looking forward to seeing how it continues.
As sci-fi is my favourite genre (it's the only thing that can take you away, is imaginative with suspension of disbelief) I agree, has been a good summer so far
ye,pretty stupid episode so far.it was meaningless except tom got away from capture and hal,ben and mat is back. and I really dont think that anne and the baby is dead, thats pretty obvious that it was showed to break tom.
next episode better be better, almost at season finale and season 3 has been real shitty so far, except for a few things ofcourse.
Maybe it's the scifi drought but even I have enjoyed Family Skies recently. And... I confess... to actually liking Defiance. I quickly dismissed it in a few short minutes but then it grew on me and it's good fun. It's not afraid of being a run of the mill scifi show with an almost formulaic and cliched approach. I say run of the mill but it's been years since we have had a proper one, really, so that probably plays a part too.
This episode only goes to prove my point that every single storyline has been done before. This one was a direct rip off of DS9 episodes (Sisko as a writer and the last Section 31 one) and a Buffy episode (which coincidentally was on last night on SyFy) where you already know the "first wakeup" isnt real.
