Im still holding back reading forums the high % of people bricking there ps3 is just too big, and for some reason he havent removed cineva protection so its not even usefull for streaming, hoping bubba will release a new firmware since the one ive been using works perfect.

cant rly remember but afaik 3.41 has the same exploit 3.55 has so should be able to update to CFW from 3.41, if not just up to 3.55 then up again to 4.21 CFW.

E3 are due to bring out 4.30 CFW soon

E3 released there 4.30cfw now with there "own" game manager seems like its a ripoff of mm 3.41 version but it works, but wait a a day rogero got his 4.30cfw ready for testing in the next few hours for people with flashers, and it should be safe for fat ps3 models this time around as the newest 4.21 v1.09 u should only do if you got a slim model.

But still 3.55eboots is flooding so u can still play just about every new game, just need 4.30 if u want psn/multiplayer.

I would wait. I'm on 3.55 too. The rogero update seems to be promising, since you can go back to 3.55.

LG5tool, an app to allow you to get on PSN with CFW, you run it on PC and change a few settings on the PS3 and you can connect to PSN, tho ive been reading 4.31 OFW isnt mandatory so might still  be able to access PSN on CFW 4.30 as normal.

4.31 is not mandatory online works just fine with 4.30cfw still, was only a small fix for monster hunter, but tbh i dont see a reason not to update if u want to play, no more waiting on fixed to arrive just download unpack and play no messing around with eboots/pkg.

One thing thought havent tried myself but what i understand u need the original eboots for the games you already own since the patched ones wont run, but else every games up to 4.30 works and u can download patches to and such.

ii had MGS: HD eboot patched to 3.55 but loaded it up on 4.21 and it seemed to work ok tho i didnt go far into it

If u want easy access to every game released to date go for it, and with rogero tools u can always downgrade to 3.55, and until sony make some new firmware to stop online u can play multiplayer and buy stuff on psn if u want.

Havent been using my ps3 for ages for anything but video streaming but now i can actually enjoy the new games.

Just make sure to read the instructions so u dont fuck up and brick your ps3.

finally got around to updating to 4.30 cfw from 4.21 v1.0, went from:

4.21 V1.0 => 3.55 (hybrid) => rogero 3.55v7a =>rogero 4.30 all worked fine with no problems <3 PSN

also did the same. was on 4.21 CFW and followed instructions on Tortuga cove to go back to 3.55 then to 4.30. took a while but on 4.30 with PSN working!
