Just came home from work, and going back in 8 hours to do my next shift. So I'm gonna blaze up and sleep REALLY good!

I got some mediocre white widdow. It'll do the trick.

I'm pretty much a complete n00b when it comes to Weed... So my question is, what's with the 420?

I'm guessing it's some sort of a "code/nick/slang name".

4/20, is a specific date, kind of like the international weed day, at least for the most parts.
It can also be or 4:20 PM or just 420, a nickname for the weed culture (according to wikipedia)

Others have given info on the "420".

I am of the age group of "Tea" and whatever else Pot used to be called and remember Jefferson Airplane (http://www.google.com/search?q=Jefferso … tartPage=1) first as not a musical band but a paper match split and used to hold a "roach" that looked like an airplane.

Some members of of the old JA band still play and jam (Whats that smell? Hot Tuna!).
Folk/Blues mix at top World Class lvl.

Most people think 420 comes from the time of the day 4.20(16.20). Some students met up and smoked togheter at this time every day after school.

Now everything 4:20 is linked to weed:p

Wouldnt take the bet on that. They are getting pretty serious here with getting the tourist away. We already have a few cities next to belgium who can't allow tourist anymore.

If you are planning a visit to Amsterdam you should go in the summer or spring! It is too rainy and depressing in the winter.

I will probs start growing now the price is just too sky high (literaly) Street value for an OZ of solid here is �80, for weed you are looking at �120.

An oz is around �300 here:p AND it's never availible in that amount.

Don't think I can. The center of Amsterdam is basically 'tourist-ville'. Thousands of other tourists will be walking with you however. There are many museums, cafes, sites and so on in the center. Basically you can just walk around in the center and be sure to see enough. But Amsterdam offers so much cultural variation and beauty beyond the center too and the tourist-crowds that comes with it. Though Red Light District is a must see, as are the famous coffee-shops there (Bulldog, Dampkring, The Grey Area) and the museums - Anne Frank's House, The Historical Museum, Van Gogh and the Rijkmuseum. And the churches located there Oude Keerk if your are into that. But outside the center you'll find cosy little cafes (brown ones), amazing architecture and monuments. There are also a lot of squats outside the center, which if you want to go out in the weekends, are much better than going to one of the nightclubs, imo. They are Molli and Cafe the Minds. Further info on these and like them.. google.

But one must-see attraction? that might be Queen's Day in late April where the whole city transforms into an orange flee market/party :lol:

Seriously it is really something though, so if you want to see something extraordinary try Amsterdam come Queen's Day.

I like smoking every now and then, but on the whole it's very rarely.

Mostly because ASIDE from the feeling of "aww yeah" comes a feeling of "I feel somewhat sick". That sickening feeling is in my stomach.

I don't know if this is because I'm such a casual smoker, or perhaps it's because I don't smoke tobacco at all, thus I'm inept at smoking as a whole and end up "swallowing" some of the smoke. Before anyone starts making jokes about the latter; I DO inhale, and deeply at that, into my lungs. But when I exhale I always have a feeling that a very small bit of the smoke gets "stuck", and I end up swallowing (be it my own saliva or a coke / sprite / whatever).

Oh well, I don't let that take away the fun. At least, I try not to let it take away the fun... so in the end I smoke moderately.

I dread to think what it would cost now, id say about �400, I dont bulk buy or sell so no reason to know.

Prices shot up when it was realised there was more money to make smuggling fags and drink into the uk with less consequence. :o)
