What do you guys think of Ezreals ult? I seriously cannot figure out how to use it because it almost always hits too late. It is nice for when your opponent stands still while you unleash your combo though. Very effective.

It can be used many ways.

One is to get that "extra burst" when you pop out of a bush to ambush someone.

Another is to help another lane take down their opponent.

Or you can clear a lane that has a lot of farm in it (if you can't move to that lane because everyone's in a different lane and you just want to HOLD, not FIGHT).

Ezreal is a pure skill shot champion and is generally one of the hardest champions to play, mechanically and strategically, out of all the ADs. Hence why all the pros thought he was trash some months back

So, has anyone already tried out Varus since hes availible on PBE?

A reminder of his skills:
Living Vengeance (Passive) - (Innate): On champion kill or assist, Varus gains 40% attack speed for 6 seconds.
On minion kill, Varus gains 20% attack speed for 3 seconds.

Piercing Arrow (Q) - (First Cast): Varus starts drawing back his next shot, gradually increasing its range and damage.
(Second Cast): Varus fires, dealing physical damage, reduced by 15% per enemy hit (minimum 33%).
While preparing to shoot, Varus cannot autoattack or use abilities, and his movement speed is slowed by 20%. After 4 seconds, Piercing Arrow fails but refunds half its mana cost.

Blighted Quiver (W) - (Passive): Varus' basic attacks deal bonus magic damage and apply Blight for 6 seconds (stacks 3 times).
Varus' other abilities detonate Blight, dealing magic damage equal to a percentage of the target's maximum health per stack. This damage is capped against monsters.

Hail of Arrows (E) - (Active): Varus fires a hail of arrows that deals physical damage and desecrates the ground for 4 seconds.
Desecrated Ground reduces healing effects by 50% and slows enemy movement speed.

Chain of Corruption (R) - (Active): Varus flings out a tendril of corruption that deals magic damage and immobilizes the first enemy champion hit for 2 seconds.
The corruption then spreads towards nearby uninfected enemy champions, applying the same damage and immobilise if it reaches them. The corruption will continue to spread until there are no further unaffected targets in range.

I personally think hes great except for the mechanic that Blighted Quiver uses...
The range, speed, and damage of Piercing Arrow is heavenly, when fully charged it has a 1:3 bonus AD ratio meaning a BF Sword can potentially increase the damage by 135.
The thing is, neither Piercing Arrow nor Hail of Arrows are fast, instant skills, Piercing needs to charge up and has a cast time anyway, and Hail not only has a cast time but needs to get to its destination first wich takes some time... but Blighted Quiver sorta forces you to mix up your skills with auto attacks... I just cant see much potential in it. Neither in harassing nor in a 1v1 situation.

But hey, his ultimate is plain destruction.

Second rule of MOBA games: Your team sucks. Never trust.

Even the "pros" get fooled by soloque from time to time. "Hey this lee sin went 10/0 with 6 doran's rings, must be viable build" (exaggerating of course), tries it in scrims "well that didn't work".

Mordekaiser is pretty good at popping carries, though and can be very scary even to bruisers if left alone in a team fight. The only problem is if you're up against, say, Urgot or a good Ashe that knows how to position and/or kite, you'll have trouble doing your job (depends a bit on your build, but in general).

EZ's alt is fun.. He is a bitch of a character to play though. When i first got him i sucked, but once you can land your skill shots, he is effin awesome. Helps when your play kennen too..
His alt is awesome if you can place it well. One of the guys i play with usually ends up getting kill steals when he shoots them across the map. its great when someone like rammus tries to escape and he shoots them down.
We can an EZ and Ashe in our last game, i thought it was hilarious. Both of them shooting their ulti's across the map trying to get kills.

Just work on your timing and maybe change your use of the ulti too.

How many of you guys buy skins? just curious.

I personally spent more money on buying champions rather than skins (wich all my buddies blame me for), but I did buy the legendary skin for Vlad (since I have something around 200 games with him) and Mafia Graves (since you cant go wrong with Graves and you cant go wrong with Mafia skins).

Ran into an odd top combo today.

Ryze + Morgana.

My lane mate must have died 10 times to their dual stun/snare and burst. Was actually entertaining to watch. he would just extend a bit and dead.

i havent bought a skin yet. i usually wait for the champions to go on sale(RP) and buy the 6300 champs. the rest ill just buy with IP when i have it. $25 spend on the game so far with $20 from xmas. still have 4k RP sitting there.. Waiting...

Pulsefire Ezreal is coming out, and according to the rumors, Riot is going to try out a new price for these "super high quality" skins.
For the first 4 days it's going to be 1650 RP, and then it will rise to 3150 (or something like that).

Thoughts? I personally think the skin is definitely worth 3150 RP, but many are raging because of the high price after the four first days.

Granted it's not something you NEED to have in order to play the game and is only made for people who's got the 'I need to look special' problem - It is (In my eyes) just proving to the guys behind the game, that they don't need to do anything But put out skins in order to make money..

20 Euros for a VERY high quality skin though. I guess I'm just used to their pricing so I am kinda ok with a skin that is even better than a normal legendary skin costing 3150RP. I will buy it in its cheap period though.

It's just a skin anyway, it's not like a boost to make u god like,so no biggie. Don't like the price? they will split it in half in about 6 months to squeeze some more cash out of it, so be patient

Id never pay that much for a SKIN.
But i dont use Ez that often.
If a crazy skin came out for a character i played 90% of the time. I might consider it to support the game. But thats a LOT of money for a skin...
I just buy the Champs on sale. Adds to the fun when you play someone new.
