Pale? Pale for me is fin-pale. And I dont think any dornishman should be looking like that, I was thinking more of a Halle Barry tone, or Jessica Alba... you know, Latino. Maybe this actor has that tan going for him after some time in the sun.

Regardless of which, the looks seem like the least important aspect of Oberyns character. And I dunno anything about this actor, so can just hope the casters did a good job. Think they haven't disappointed me once yet, except maybe with Tywin. He just don't seem as menacing as he should.

Just re-watched the entire show again, hit the scene with Daenerys

freeing the Unsullied

... still the best scene in the whole series, by far. :3

But he is fair skinned perhaps not pale. But if you read a bit better you would see that Dornish come in three skin tones Stony, Sandy and Salty. With House Martell being "Salty" which means he is fair skinned compared to other Dornish so maybe he looks the right color. But I imagined a more menacing, sinister looking type.

news from the GoT world

Neil Marshall will be directing an episode in Season 4! He's the guy that directed S2E9 or "Blackwater" so really excited about this news! Read the next spoiler tag if you've read the 3rd book

Pretty much means he's shooting the battle of the Wall, so we can expect a blackwater like episode, except I have a feeling it'll have a bigger budget so woot! The article did say its like episode 10 though, not sure how I feel about that...
