Regarding the categories organization. It's a bit messy at the moment, and not exactly easy to pinpoint the category you want. Hence I suggest re-ordering them so stuff is easy to find. Quickly typed up what I mean in Excel.

The above section [in the image] is the current category order. The below section [in the image] is the proposed category order.

Yay, this was implemented. Even though the image is now gone. How it currently is, is what I was suggesting \o/

Maybe this is under *improved torrent search, but hard for me to say so ill just put it up here

Since imdb is starting to become more and more unreliable i tend to just go with the tb communities choice for movies and games and so forth. So i basically sort on most downloaded torrents and grab those. I used to check imdb but it seems way of, especially the first week(s).

So I would be a happy fish if i could see a "most popular" option on the "browse" page for searching through torrents. This option should be based on last 24 hrs and last week and so forth.

Just like i can click the Movies/x264 link to only see only this movies and then sort by download i would like to see see a few most popular options like "Todays most popular" and "This weeks most popular"
and perhaps an option to search on the same options within subcategories aswell (if i was browsing under Movies/x264 i could tag or click for today or this week to get the most downloaded within that catagory for last day or week)

Perhaps, today and week should be last 24 hrs and last 168 hrs.

OK, so  going to category, for example, Games/PC and sorting them by seeders ain't enough? Using top 10 no good too?

My insomnia makes fun of you now.

it is for those boring days when i want to watch a movie or a tv show etc and be able to pick the most popular from the last few days would be swell. Sorting by seeders is excellent, but since we have a few months of data here it would be lazy and comfortable to narrow the sort by seeders for a few days or week, seeing as i most likely have seen all the good movies from a a few weeks back.

How about adding a direct link to download the torrent from the list? Perhaps a small column before "Files" column? Most of the time you are not really interested in reading the nfo/comments. You just want to download your show/movie right away. It can even replace "Files" column.

Do you mean something like the little gray button in front of the file name?

Regarding all the trouble with paypal freezing and shutting down accounts. Would it be agains paypal EULA to make the donations made out to support let's say an app for smartphones instead? If someone could make a simple app like a flashligt or something equaly basic and then include a donation feature embeded or linked in it to support the app, the app ofcourse beeing owned and created by the TB.net community. This way our backs would be free of suspision of piracy. Driving it in a more aggressing standpoint would be to label it a religious or political campaing witch probably falls under some US constitution law and therefore illegal to shutdown? As you might know piracy is offically a religion now.

Thanks for considuration.

Ripple.com looks interesting for money payments too.

I think it would be a nice security feature to essentially turn on http. You could redirect my account from http to https when this flag is set and make all the torrent links ssl, do not even show the non-ssl torrent links. It would be ideal if it could even redirect me before log-in based on some session flag or cookie.

I'm just lazy and sometimes catch myself slipping on the whole ssl thing.

How 'bout being able to look up "Top 10" for each category?

Like when I'm searching for a film to watch and go looking in the "top 10 most active torrents" -list. There's always two Big Bang Theory torrents from this weeks episode. Same goes for Two and a half men, family guy, american dad, walking dead and how i met your mother.

Would be nice

I don't think any feature suggestions will be done before the financial side is secured.

I realize there won't be much development for a while but how about an omission filter. The ability to ignore (not display) releases which contain user-defined keywords.

Turning off categories isn't enough?

Obviously not or he wouldn't have suggested it.

Toucher, BoB

Turning off entire categories is quite different from filtering keywords. For example, there are many TV releases which I have no interest in which I'd prefer to never see but I still want to see the majority of TV releases. Shows I don't like just get in the way, especially if there are dozens of single episodes released.

MacOSX and Apple device releases would be another example. I can't see myself ever putting them to use. However I would still like to see PC and Android releases.

Or perhaps I want to disable all releases by a particular scene group. All I'd have to do is predefine the scene group name as an unwanted keyword and I'd never see them again.

A feature like this would allow us to cut out what we consider the fat. Sometimes I'm inactive for a week or more but I like to go back through everything that I missed. Yes, I can scan through and mentally filter things, but it would be much more efficient to predefine what I don't want to see, essentially increasing the relevance of what I'm shown. Instead of going through a thousand releases, I might only have to go through a few hundred.

I'm surprised this hasn't already been suggested (I quickly scanned the thread and don't think it has).

And yes, I realize that this would be possible with a good RSS downloader but I prefer the main site.

The amount of suggestions ive seen in this thread where people miss obvious features that are named slightly diff is insane, you of all people should know that. So while pointing out the obvious, i was clarifying why the advanced feature would be required when a basic form is there and the advanced version would prob be used by almost no one.

And as it turns out the feature they want is there in one form but its bookmark keywords that highlight releases rather than blacklist them. So rather than a highlight whitelist its a remove blacklist, which is just a reverse of the "My Bookmarks" section in edit profile.... While what they want is still not actually there suddenly it becomes apparent what they want and how it could be done

This could probably also be done with a greasemonkey scrip, although i have never played about with that other than using others.

*Do not discuss the addition of features, one post is enough*

I realize that by pointing out the #1 rule of this thread I'm also breaking it...

Please feel free to purge useless posts, including this one.
