announcing only (downloads when you double click on it):
auto downloading:
for this script to work properly, it needs those files to be in the same folder:
tbyautodown.mrc - tbyautodown.ini - wget.exe - tby.ico
------------------------
Steps to make this work:
------------------------
1. put all the files in one folder, preferably in c:\tbydown\
2. open mIRC, press Alt+R, goto the remote tab, file > load , and select the "tbyautodown.mrc" file, and press ok
3. edit the filters in tbyautodown.ini , sections [dfilters] and [afilters] , use the help below
4. you need the cookies for this script to download properly (Firefox) (Menu) Tools > (Menu) Options > (Tab) Privacy > (Section) Cookies > Show cookies > Type in "torrentbytes" >
5. select "uid" and find the copy the value besides the "content:" to [settings] uid
6. select "pass" and find the copy the value besides the "content:" to [settings] pass
7. go to utorrent , options > preferences
8. in "UI settings" , disable "don't start the download automatically"
9. in "directories" , enable "automatically load .torrents from" and enable "delete loaded .torrents" and put "c:\tbydown" in the field
Preferences:
- announce
this should be "1" if you want announce to be activated, this is controled by the [afilters] section
- beeponannounce
this should be "1" if you want your computer to make a weird noise when there is a new release announced
- download
this should be "1" if you want auto-download works, controled by [dfilters] currently it loads the torrent to the folder in [settings]download folder (the default is c:\tbydown\ ) , you have to set utorrent auto load torrents saved in that folder
- displaytime
the time it takes for the small notification by the status bar to disappear
Settings:
- uid , your userid
- pass , the pass from the cookies
- downloadfolder , this the folder to load new torrents, you have to set utorrent auto load torrents saved in that folder for auto-downloading to work properly
- https , put https in downloadling link
- ssltracker , put https in tracker
dfilters:
this is the filter for stuff to auto download
- get : stuff that you want
- dontget : stuff that you do not want
should be written in this format:
*item1*;*item2*;*item3*
for example: Prison.Break.S04E20.HDTV.XviD-LOL
can be matched with any of those:
prison*
prison*break*
prison.break.s04e*.hdtv.xvid.*
afilters:
this is the filter for stuff to announce
same as dfilters above
Note:
if there is something in the "DONTGET" filter, it will never be downloaded, even if it matches a "GET" filter
scripting for xchat is quit different, and i dont know anything about xchat (perl?)
Supports perl and python. I could take a look at it, but I'm not great with perl and I hardly know mIRC scripting at all, so it would probably best if someone else did it
1, Download the script from hmhef.
2, Download and install FlashFXP.
3, Manually create \torrents\ directory in mIRC directory.
4, Modify line # 121 (set %tbnametd %tbdir $+ %tbnamet) to:
set %tbnametd " $+ $mircdir $+ torrents\ $+ %tbnamet $+ " 5, Add this string on line # 125 (below run -n $scriptdirwget.exe blablablabla...):
run -n "E:\Program Files\FlashFXP\FlashFXP.exe" -min -c2 -upload OVH -localpath=" $+ $mircdir $+ torrents\ $+ %tbnamet $+ " -remotepath=" $+ /.Watch/ $+ TB_ $+ %tbnamet $+ " Do not forget to modify FlashFXP path, name of the site in Site Manager and remote directory that is watching for .torrent files (all red in above text).
6, Manually delete temporary .torrent files in \torrents\ directory of mIRC once in a while. They are not deleted by script!

updated the script to include that part,
and i added the extra parts like ftp site name from flashfxp to the settings file so that no one would need to edit the script file
I've got all the announce, download and filters working fine but i cannot for the life of me get the FlashFXP side working. I am using FlashFXP 4 rather than 3 and so the location its installed is diferent to the .mrc file so i changed the offending line to:
is the .ini part, yet after it downloads a torrent which appears in the correct folder it opens FlashFxp and nothing happens, it just sits, doesnt even try and connect. The site is in the site manager and the name is correct, user/pass is saved.
I've had a look around to see if the commandline options for FlashFxp changed but the documentation on their site is mostly several years old.
