Thanks

I can't believe I didn't know this existed until now!
I've often thought about writing my own renaming/archiving app for TV shows but I've been too lazy. This works WAY better than how I would have gone about it.
Not sure if this app is still supported but there is an issue getting information from tvrage. Possibly a change in their API or website code that broke the program. Anyone else having this issue?
Hey, yes tvrage have changed their feed slightly. Will only be a quick update, but i need to dig out the installshield project files or roll a new installer. So give me a bit of time and i'll post an update
I don't suppose it would be possible to add some kind of Show completion checking in your App aswell?
I mean give it a folder and providing the structure is right it could tell you from the TVrage results which episodes you are missing, ive tried a couple of progs that say they do this but due to scene naming i guess they tend to not pick up things that are there.
TVRename was one highly recommended but it doesnt seem to like that everything i have is RAR'd. Unless i just fail badly at regx lol, have tried alot of combo's that should work.
Recently started compiling all my Tv Shows on a single NAS and trying to fill in blanks but so far ive not found anything great for tracking down missing eps.
I'm not a huge coder but you seem to already have the basics of lookups, so putting that into a list of is ep there=no and is ep there=yes and compile that together doesnt seem too far fetched. (hopefully its that simple, im sure its prob not lol)
If its not something you want to add or want to spend time on then nevermind. The renaming feature is great but i am a whore for keeping everything as scene releases, as nothing i watch them on cares about it being rar'd and if i ever need to reseed its always there, untouched.
Edited for clarity and also i am tired and this is the 3rd post ive done here tonight where i miss out whole words lol.....my que for sooty
Version 3.3 of SmartRename is now available. This version primarily addresses a feed change by tvrage. Two additional bugs are hopefully resolved too: The first is to fix
context menu issues on Windows 7 (you may need to untick/re-tick the "Add to Context Menu" option). The second is to fix issues when adding multiple files in one go.
The reason tvrage has changed their feed seems to be due to a server move/re-shuffle. After testing it seems their system is a lot slower to respond to queries now. There is nothing i can do about this.
I have changed from installshield to nsis for the installer. I have tried to make an upgrade as seamless as possible. However if you have any issues please completely uninstall and re-install the app.
