Removed IP address from the bar, and no taskbar thanks to taskbar eliminator, simple alt+t and its back then alt+t and it's gone.

Not had a chance to add links for my fav programs/folders etc. yet.

Yeah windows wouldn't support the new processor without a fresh re-install. At lest it beats buing an entire new computer just to change a component.

I just upgraded to a 3570k from a Q9550 (so a whole new board, etc), and, after about 5 minutes of it "configuring devices", my Windows 8 install booted straight up - no reinstall required!
