Anyone who knows what this error means ? :
Couldn't listen -(10048,"adress already in use ")
This is the third day I got this message on everything I tries to download......
The port you're using is probably beein used by other software. Try changing it.
ok, but where do I do that ?
On the options dialog box, usually under the "Conenction" settings (depends of what client you use)

I have a wierd problem.
I checked the next day, and in the bitcommet details, under priority it said banned. Other seeds were good.
and i can d/l too
Ok I found this out a long time ago, but thought i'd share:
when you remove a file from the list of files in the Torrent, it's listed as banned in BitComet, dunno why, that just the way it is.

Oh and question 2:
Can someone explain to me why i seem to be listed as leeching when i am seeding only?
Even in the program, it shows an upload but situates me in the leeching segment, what gives?
and more importantly, DOES THIS MATTER?
I found this one out as well:
you will be listed as leeching until you have d/l 100% of the file. seeming as i never d/l 100%, for ex, the NFO or SFV or the preview or whatever, i am almost allways listed as "leeching"
pitronot wrote:

nope, it doesn't the ratio is setup regarding your upload not if you're leeching during or not, so you can continue in this way
I know i have
And i as you can see in my ratio, I'm good to go -pitronot

Error isn't on your side.
Could anyone explain this a bit more? I get this error every now and then but it still download\uploads.
So do I need to worry? I guess it's a tracker side error so there isn't much I can do, or ?
Any comments anyone?
I tried posting the same thing in this tread before but it's gone for some reason.

Hi, under my tracker it says: Offline (invalid reply: you have been logged for trying to cheat)
Does anyone know why this happened? The only thing I do is uploading and downloading, so I don't know how i could have cheated....does anyone know what the problem might be?

I'm guessing you're using Azureus.

Help us in helping you. Do not just say "it doesn't work!". Provide details so that we don't have to guess or waste time asking. What client do you use? What's your OS? What's your network setup? What's the exact error message you get, if any? What are the torrents you are having problems with? The more you tell the easiest it will be for us, and the more probable your post will get a reply.
I've heard of this problem, but never experienced it my self.
Is there any more information you can give us?

hope this isnt the way all isp are heading

I tried that, but it didn't work. However, my download destination was quite a long pathname. I changed the destination directory to a shorter pathname and it worked.
So i suppose it has something to do with maximum path length of your os.

when im about to extract a tv show
i get corrupt volume, not allways but often
why?
zx's edit: What client are you using? Clients redownload data everytime the hash check fails. Some older clients are not automatically set to reject bad data, and that could be the problem. Some users also have problems because of bad ram or a dying hard-disk.
If you make a forum search you'll find lots of info about this. We've had a few threads about corrupt data in the past 2 weeks.

Just like the post says in the error msgs sticky i have redownloaded the torrent from the browse page and ran it again and i am still getting the error?
Any suggestions? this has only started happening to me just reciently
zx's edit: It's a problem all Roger users are having. Check the bittorrent forum or make a forum search and you'll find more information about it.

ok my english is relly bad....
i have a message
[error]
what can i do?
zx's edit: You have to give more details!
Lopardus edit: i have download 5 files and then 5h later [error]
and all torrent stop
zx's edit: What client are you using? All clients are supposed to show a message after the word 'error'. For example: 'Error: Not authorized - Read the FAQ'
Failed to access torrent file 'C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxx\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\Y7Y365UN\CSI[1].S06E16.HDTV.XviD-LOL.torrent'. Ensure sufficient temporary file space available (check browser cache usage).
Is this related to the recent problems on this "forum" or something else. I only get this error on this forum and started getting them today. Any tips on this mather?
utorrent gives me error: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it" since this morning. Anyone got a clue what that means? i tried to flush dns but it didn't help.
