Hi, I am a new member here at torrentbytes, I already donated beacuse I know how important donations are to help pay the server costs.

However, the only thing I can complain about is the very very low number of leechers. Most of the files (98% if not more) have a much much more higher number of seeders than leechers which makes it almost impossible to build a new good ratio just by seeding. I have downloaded only 3 files at the moment, I have been seeding them since the begining, and none of them have a positive ratio at the moment.

I have searched for the less seeded files, and I can tell you there isn't more than 10 torrents that has more leechers than seeders, and even then, there is only a couple of leechers more than seeders.

On the other hand, I have seen torrents with 800 seeders and 100 leechers, otheres with 300 seeders and only 16 leechers.

Today when logging on my account, I discovered the red announcement: "Your ratio is dangerously low..." I have been a member for only 3 days, and I have been seeding all my files, but most of the time, upload speed is 0,01 because there is only 7 leechers.

I can upload at 95kb/s, and highest it went was 56kb/s and that lasted only for a few minutes. The file had 50 seeders and 7 leechers.

Also, before, as a new user, I can download a new file (I have to wait the 24hr delay), there will already be 300+ seeders and about 20 leechers on that file, so that makes the file pretty much useless for me to seed.

I really think something has to be done with this

You have to be very selective about what you download. Take special care about that 29GB torrent you're leeching - you may lose the account because of it.

As hanek said you have to download the right files. From what I can see you've leeched 2 dvd's.. that's not good for your ratio. At least not to start with..

You will notice, TorrentBytes has a specific amount of users could help with the leecher's, But it appear's There is not much leechers anymore on torrentbytes like before, However low speeds can cause alot of problem's taking for ever to seed any many money in extreme causes Your Account being disabled regarding low ratio, Which the system's ban's you, Which in another case the wait times was implemeted before, to keep the hit and runners away.

You will notice everyday new trackers are being created by many people it's like a hobby for them, *Couge* low lifes *Couge*, Many leechers before from here found another site or another source :yes:

which caused so many legend leechers left, and you will see not many leechers on this site anymore, I have to agree we need alot more leechers, I don't like to see donors getting disabled for bad ratio.
Leechers 3,989, Approx, In another site i seen 8k leechers with 20k users witch is very good if you be specific.

I personally would stop leeching at all and only seed if I had a leech warning in effect....that usually means the countdown is on and its only a matter of time before you are disabled or you get your ratio up to an acceptable level.

If you have a really hard time with the seeding. You should just download a couple of rar files in a torrent.
Because that is probebly going to help you alot.

The forces from above do not take kindly to that kind of leeching..
It's considered forbidden.. :unsure:

i don't see what the problem is :tumbleweed:

the ratio system is put there to reward users that upload. Would you prefer the wait times removed and have 40,000 users jump on a new dvdr to get -2kB/s ? and wait 2weeks to finish the torrent ? :giggle:

theres nothing wrong with the ratio system.

All new users have equal opportunity, some decide to take a leap of faith

This is going nowhere fast and has been covered several (Hundred) times before.

Sure we need more leeches and nobody is stopping people from leeching.

We cannot force people to leech.....
