You're going to need the RSS link and values from your browser cookies as TB requires cookies to download the torrent files.
Step One // Cookies
From your browser cookie cache you need to find out your 'uid' and 'pass'.
IE users will find their cookies in %UserProfile%/Cookies
Firefox users will find their cookies in Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Cookies -> View Cookies
Opera users will find their cookies in Tools -> Advanced -> Cookies
Users of other browsers will have to consult their browser's documentation
Copy and paste these values into notepad or an alternative text editor.
Step Two // RSS Link
Now, the actual RSS feed url contains two sections. The first is the RSS url which can be found by first clicking here and copying the directed link from "RSS feed (direct download)". You should have something like this:
Please note, the passkey value is NOT your site password. It's a long string of numbers and letters provided by torrentbytes and you shouldn't ever need to type it in as it's provided for you in the link to the direct RSS feed
Step Three // Appending Cookies to the RSS Link
Next your uid and passkey from your cookies then need to be appended to the url like this:
:COOKIE:uid=XXX;pass=XXX
So, by the end of it your final link should look something like this:
Should you wish to name your RSS feed to alleviate confusion between many types, type your desired name for the feed and then a single pipe | followed by the url. This is exampled in the above screenshot
For uTorrent versions 1.8 and above: Open uTorrent -> Right-click the All Feeds icon on the left panel, select new feed.
Step Five // Checking The Link
Update the feed to make sure uTorrent is receiving the RSS. HOWEVER just seeing the feeds doesn't mean you have correctly typed in the url. To be made certain that you have, double click a torrent in the Releases tab (<1.8) or the RSS list while Torrentbytes is selected (1.8+) to see if you either get a download dialog (everything is working fine) or if you get a dead link error (your uid and pass are not correct, go back and check again).
RSS feeds have been set up and you can download at the click of a button! But i hear you say, 'How do i download my fav tv shows when i'm not at my computer?'...
Setting up Automatic Downloads
Click the Favourites tab in the RSS Downloader window (Alt + R) and click the Add button. Type a name for the download and start editing the filter settings.
Filter: The name of the torrent you want to download. Examples:
To download Prison Break you would type in Prison Break*. To download Lost you would type in Lost*. The * is a wildcard which matches anything and is needed as no torrent on this site is simply called by its name. There is always other information like HDTV, XviD, the release group, etc.
Not: (Not neccessary) Type here anything you do not want to download which may be included in your above filter. Example: *AC3*|*720*|*x264*|
Save In: This is where the release will be downloaded to
Feed: Here you select TorrentBytes (you can also select All, to filter all RSS feeds inputted under the Feeds tab.
Quality: Check all qualities you are willing to download be it HDTV or PDTV / HDTV / HR.HDTV / etc etc
Episode Number: Episode number is to download only specific ep numbers, say to avoid releases of old episodes. It does support ranges (i.e. 1x4-26). Personally i don't use this as Torrentbytes is a 0-day site and won't ever release old episodes (apart from dvdrips)
Filter matches original name instead of decoded name: uTorrent automatically removes all .'s from torrent names and other small adjustments. Select if you only want your filter to match the torrent EXACTLY. Remember, using this option disables the "Episode number" function!
Give download highest priority: Give download highest priority when a limit is imposed on maximum number of concurrent downloads.
Smart Ep. Filter: Stops uTorrent from downloading the same episode twice when it's released on two RSS Feeds
Minimum Interval: Minimum amount of time before it checks all feeds again for this torrent
Label: uTorrent makes use of labels to easily organise downloading. Select a label here if you wish to do that.
As you type filters out, uTorrent automatically saves it so there is no actual 'Save' button or anything. Just make sure you've actually got the filter highlighted before you start to edit the filter matches.

Using the updated RSS feeds, I am unable to download anything automatically. Through uTorrent's RSS Downloader, I get and Invalid Torrent File error. However, while going to the "Releases" tab and clicking "Open in Browser" the torrent can load fine.
it won't work with me either as with many other, and i actually have rss-skills have coded much rss
when you say that, who are you talking about? everyone seems to have it working. Double check your values and cookies and then tell me it's not working
(also i have no influence on how the RSS itself is coded and if it is a bug (i have no idea if it is) then go through the proper bug report procedures

Thanks a bunch. I was wondering why none of my shows were downloading automagically any more.
I am using the direct link given under links section. But my downloads are not automatically starting "invalid torrent file" error is all I get. Is there something wrong with the system at the moment?

Can you post the link you used please? (remove both passkeys as you do)
This is the link. I don't have a problem with the RSS feed everything shows up fine. It just looks like I am having trouble with getting the torrent file.
