- Support for large capacity DVD+R DL media (no errors when burning)
I would like to dedicate this fw to the Xbox Live Enforcement Team and the recent false (AP25) bans and subsequent reversal. Keep up the good work guys.
Thanks go to Team Jungle for their hard work and efforts in the development process.
Thanks also go to Team Xecuter for their support to this project.

Might flash mine tonight - already banned so doesn't bother me too much - haven't even got the new dash as there's not many games out that I want to play on my 360 these days

It works.. Using it now playing GOW3

Was going to download GOW3 for a few minutes of fun but then realised the only version up here is the JTAG one.

Oh well, successfully updated my Dash and flashed my Phat BenQ in readiness for...  probably nothing of any great worth.

In terms of flashing I'm just wondering how easy it is for someone with poor knowledge in the flashing scene.

I have previously paid someone to flash my Lite-On DG-16D2S - 89850C v2 drive and I have the dummy.bin file on my computer (which if i'm correct holds the drive key?).

Is it easy to connect up the drive to something like the XBOX 360 USB Pro and flash away or is it still complicated, any pointers would be great as it seems that security updates could possibly be added into future dashboard updates and the money I pay for these updates I could just buy the relevant equipment.

I have gone through the jungle flasher tutorial pdf although I'm looking for a more layman's explanation.

Buy a ck3 pro with Probe v3 , as long as you have compatible sata ports thats all you need, if not a via card too.

Its pretty simple if you follow the JF tutorials

Is there any way to convert JTAG games into ISO format and then burn them to play on LT2.0? If not... why the scene doesn't re-release the games in ISO format

They do, they've just not all been ripped and / or uploaded here.

Anyone been burning XGD3 game discs? How are they coming out? Everything working ok?

#1435635 by unknown[118725] at 2011-10-17 01:41:12 (1 year ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

Yep ive burned 4 of them upto now, then installed the games 100% to my hard drive, so there is no game data missing...

c4eva speaks of a burner he is writing custom firmware for that will allow 100% burning process on to a regular DL DVD

I couldnt comment if it is safe to be playing copied XGD3 games on live, I know cve has said do not boot forza it fails some checks and has to be burned using the upcoming firmware and drive for it to pass the CIV checks.

ggBuild for glitch hack consoles is out, meaning any xbox with a hana chip (any bar the xenon models) can boot game launchers and stuff now. Stop worrying about burning discs and get the glitch hack working! It now does everything a jtag box can do

Hey, I've got a question.
Back then I bought an Xbox360 flashed with iExtreme 1.6 I think and a Samsung drive (I'm not really sure if the Xbox had a different drive before and the Samsung was build in at a later point). I didnt really care much for flashing it again, as I didnt plan on going online with it anyway and therefore only patched all the newer games back to Wave 2 so my Xbox would run them.
But as there is this new protection I dont think I can patch them to Wave2 anymore as I would have to update my Xbox, which then would delete the flash (think that is what I read).

Question now is: If I get the newest flash for my Xbox, will I still be able to play all the old games I burned or will it make them useless for me?

Would really appreciated an answer as there are so many great games on the market right now that I can't seem to play :/

I have a jtagged 360 console which was working fine for a few months until I did a required dash update when playing the campaign for a rented store copy of Mass Effect 2.
Straight after the update the console won't boot up, just a solid green center light in the power button on the console and a blank black screen on the TV.

Was I supposed to grab a scene dash update or something?

The guy who flashed and jtagged the console has moved but he did give me a disc with files on it.
How hard is it to fix the problem and is there a tutorial somewhere?
I'll buy some tools or mod equipment if required.

You're probably fucked. There is a certain way to update jtag xboxes, have to remake the dashboard with your nand and install through xell/xellous. If you installed an official dash off a game then there's a good chance you've blown the e-fuses and it can't be jtagged again.

IF the person who installed the jtag wired it up to protect the nand from being updated you might be in luck, i think the fact it's not turning on is possibly a good sign

Try powering the xbox on by pressing the DVD eject button, see what happens. If xell/xellous boots up you're in laughing

Tried it, just a blank/black screen still.  No signal to the TV.  Looks bad then?

If that mod guy had of said not to update the dash with the official one then I wouldn't have done it.
He gave no instructions, except to not lose the disc with the files on it because I might need them.
He was the one who talked me into jtagging the console anyway because I initially just wanted it flashed to play burnt games.

I still have an untouched console for Xbox Live though.

I bought my jtag pre-hacked so can only go by what i've read elsewhere. If you update the dash with a standard dash it blows the e-fuses and just updates the console back to a normal working non-jtag version. There is a way of protecting the console, soldering something up so that an official update will fail, might be what's happened to yours?

I can ask someone and find out if you like? I believe if that's the case then it'll need to be soldered back up to recover and jtag it again though but not sure

you can always manually set the MAC on the xbox and then block that on your router from the WAN.  You'd have network access, but only local.  I use to do that with my hacked xbox before it was stolen last year.  bitches.

Yeah thanks, if you know someone can you ask him if it can be fixed or if it's bricked?

Got this response

hetster wrote:

it all depends if he protected the fuses. either way he will need to solder either a usb or lpt reader / writer into the 360 and redump the nand and flash with xell. the reason it wont boot and he gets a black screen is the entire nand has been overwritten by an official update and has in the process wiped out xell from the nand. he needs to reflash the first 2mb of his nand with xell again. if he can boot into xell then the fuses didnt blow and he was protected. if he cant boot into xell then the fuses have blown and all he can do is remove the jtag wires and use it as a normal 360. but if the someone that did it for him knows anything about jtagging he will have protected the fuses anyway.

what he needs to do is wire an lpt or usb spi flasher using this diagram (same for all 360's) (ignore the colored wires. you only need the black ones for spi flasher) also you dont need the resistors but you will need a switching diode on pin 11

http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/1141/jtagzfojs.jpg

he then needs to write xellous to the 360 with his cpu key to do this i suggest following this guide from page 5 at Step 6: Injecting XeLLous into Free60 Xell and Flashing.

once he has xell booting he can use any of the jtag tools (i persoanly use bestpigs freeboot toolbox maker) to create a hacked 13599 or 13609 update and then name it updflash.bin drop that on the root of a usb drive and put it in the xbox. xellous should then boot and update the xbox from the usb drive.

as i say xellous is the main part. if the fuses are blown xellous wont boot and you will geta red ring. if the fuses are intact xellous should boot and allow you the update

Thanks a lot buddy.  There's a chance it can be saved.
It's a bit over my head but I'll print the instructions out and take it to a shopfront Modder when I next go onto town.

Yeah what he basically said is either it can be restored as a jtag, or it can be restored to a standard dashboard. There's no reason it should be useless though as it's only a nand fuck up and either way the nand can be flashed again with Xell or the standard dash

Have fun!
