well i got my 360 on friday and its a great console.
I purchased PGR3 and Kameo, they are both great games but as for the graphics wow :yes:
i hooked it up to my 23'' HDTV and what can i say but it blow me away, the movment and animation are second to none, not even the best pc's can produce graphics like it.

And lets not forget these are first gen games, who knows what the 360 will produce in a year or two.

One pisser, i can connect it to live via my modem, i have 10meg and use telewest as my isp

I wish everyone would stop bidding such stupid amounts on eBay for the 360, if everyone stopped doing it and payed a max of £300 for a premium system, for example, then there would still be xbox's for sale, but you would be able to get them for a good price!!

Btw, is CoD2 the same on live as on pc online?

Looking at the graphics on COD2 on a Hi-def monitor it is no better than on my PC.

For this reason I am glad I waited to get one..

I am going to wait until they are hacked and get one then.

Only thing that worries me is the very small Hard disc and the way it connects however I am sure there will be a way to connect a 300Gb drive soon....................

I dont think theres any chance of getting an xbox 360 in any shops or websites for a while now really... (apart from ebay)

Its really annoying, coz i just ordered the HD TV and everything!!

Though i dont like it, I was suprised yesterday cause my uncle had bought me one for christmas and he were so kind to let me test it (incase there were some issues with it i said haha ye right)
but as soon as i started it on my big 42 wall tv i thought it looked superb and stuff
then when it came to playing perferct dark zero and pg3 it was a complete letdown, first off we all know fps games isnt meant for consoles, once again pefect dark proves to be hard to handle
second off the characters and shit looks retarded almost cartoonish-no thanks
when you hit a wall on pg3 you lose almost your whole speed, its been shown everywhere here in sweden that xbox 360 isnt revolutionary, not by a long shot i reckon, unless you got a HDTV which i happend to had cause i tryed playing on my tv in my bedroom and it looked just like the old xbox more or less
xbox live has some issues but if your buying the 360 make sure you got a hdtv.

Yup tot agree went up to my mates hoose last night to play and was really disapointed.
ok he didn't have a hdtv but i still expected so much more was playing pgr3 was good but was xpecting more
and kameo not impressed at all looked like normal xbox no shit.

Will be wating before i get 1 now not in no hurry .:-/

That is not because of the Xbox, but because of the game developers.  They just basically ported it right over.  Most games in the near future are going to be threaded, and take way better advantage of the new Video architecture.  As good as Kameo looked on my 56'' HDTV, the gameplay would have been a LOT better if all 6  cores were used.  The only game that I really can say that I have seen take advantage of this is the NBA Live opening screen, where you can practice shooting with a guy while the level loads.  However that is just slightly taking advantage of it.

My question is this... Does the ATI chipset in the 360 support the new Direct X coming out ? I believe it is called WGF?  I hope so because that would give M$ a huge advantage over playstation in the graphics department.

once xmas is done 360 will be easy to get hold of. All sotres are getting new stocks on 27th december and every week after that. Its Microsoft being dicks for xmas that has caused this shortage.

Never owned an Xbox so this may make me look like a total n00b, but the hard drive in the Xbox is the same as a regular PC hd, right? Was thinking of getting the basic 360 and buying a 200GB hd for about £60.

im not a microsoft fan boy, nore am i a sega, nintendo or pc fanboy.

I just love games on any system, and the 360 is a great machine.

So it just pisses me off when people that dont own one, or supposedly played there fathers, brothers cousins 360 for 5mins,  Decide to make silly comments on a machine that they dont have a clue about.

i own a good spec pc and i still stick to my original statment that the 360 has the edge

But as i said above

you cant compare a game trailer online to playing the game real time on a hdtv ;-)
