Anyone els that feels leveling is quite slow?

I'm atm lvl86 and i feel that geting xp is slow, sure you get 140k xp per quest,
but it takes so long to get to that 15 million mark.

Took me 3½-4 hours this morning to get around nearly 8 million xp.

How does it look at the rest of the levels?
What does it jump to from lvl87 to 90 in gaining xp?

Shame you missed Alterac Valley weekend. Think it took something like 12 hours from 85 to 89. Then AV weekend was over and I had to get the last level by doing that worgen battleground with Mine, LH and WW.

Yea, doing quests isn't superb idea for fast leveling if u didn't play in beta and u did most of quest lines already. Also fact that u can't get flying at start of Pandaria (u get it on lvl 90, but it can be inaccurate since i stopped playing) slows u down like twice and half which is imo totally fucked up.

Do every single new dung in which you have quests to do, if u did quests already in dungs don't spam LFD, cuz it's waste of time; only first run giefs u massive boost. If u are decent or lucky spam PvP. it's around 2-3 bars in around 10-15 mins if u win, so lvl takes u 10 wins more or less. which is around 2h and a half if u are super lucky or u play on premade. u can also try good ol' grinding since u don't have to change zones just find place with silly spwn rate(closer to insta the better; some quests can have such rate and they are usually endless until u turn in quest, so go research). Btw, grinding and making mobs spwn faster is the fastest way to lvl. Why most of peeps aiming for world first 90 archi took 40 man raids with them, sometimes 2 or 3 times that, just to force zone scripts to spwn more mobs faster.

I thought leveling was faster than I expected. Granted I did random dungeons/BGs and not much questing.

So Blizzard sent me a free WoW Battle Chest with 1 month play time. I might as well give it a go...

What are some good races/classes for a beginner? Should I go to a PvE or PvP server? What are some enjoyable low-level dungeons? Any other tips for a GW2 player new to WoW?

I think all classes is fine for a beginner its very player friendly now a days with tips for all new things happening for the first 10lvls or so, so just pick any class you think would be fun.

As for races it dosent matter a alot just a few small perks each race got for like professions/small buffs and if u dont got any friends playing if u pick allience/horde dosent matter at all.

If you enjoy some world PVP go for it but its very little tbh, mostly just stupid ganking of lvl90s while u try to lvl, plenty of arena/battlegrounds to do that in from lvl10 i think might be 20 dont remember.

As for low level dungeons the first really fun one would be deadmines at lvl15 and scarlet monestary at lvl30-35 or something 3 difference ones there else tbh now that much amazing low level ones, walling caverns is a classic ofc atleast for the horde.

I havent played GW2 myself so dont know much about the game.

But wow has its leveling changed tons when cataclysm was released so its actually very enjoyable and fast to level now.

Just a small tip if you dont wanna go into too much research on professions at first pick mining or herbing as you get free xp on each pick can easy boost your leveling alot.

As said, I also think all classes are fine for a beginner. Although, I suggest you try out a druid. That was my first character, and I am still stuck with it 7 years later. It's so much fun.

But to be honest this pandarian thing was pretty shitty. The new talent system where you pick random talents is a pile of junk. You don't have the option to pick anything like it was planned. You NEED to pick a specific set of abilities in order to do good in PVP or PVE.
So I liked the old system much better because you could pick things that did not follow the flavor of the month setup.

That has been my pet peeve about the new talent system since it was annouced. Blizz said it was made to get rid of 'cookie cutter' builds when it actually made forcing people to take cookie cutter builds to be good. I find myself swapping maybe 1 or 2 talents for raid encounters. For other stuff, it's always the same build.

The game is still good, but it changed to much for me, and i dont see the game that i used to see since classic.

Well you probably didn't change more than 1 or 2 talents before either so they just simplified it.
I'm rather happy with the current system, really easy to switch around the few meaningful changes you can do.
Now everyone get all the important bonuses instead of being automatically labeled bad just because they didn't know how to spec.

Well 5.2 is here, servers up at least an hour early (EU so only got today). Time to see if blizz has lived up or just added more dailies. Normally would of played PTR but to many games lately so playing something to test to later play again is something i don't quite have time for.

I just started playing on a private server called emerald dream. Damn, 1.12 patch, vanilla and everything. IT's fucking awesome. Sure it got its bugs here and there, but it's freaking vanilla. Damn I miss the game, it's hard and downright challening. PLaying with a cupple of friends now, oldschool rogue, mage priest setup. Leveling is once again fun.

Server is almost full every night, sometimes there even queues o.O, im dying like a motherfucker on mobs. I forgot so much about the game but damn Im having a blast.

lol Still haven't finished those golden lotus dailies. I started a bit, did tillers and then it was just uh, if i do another daily im going to kill someone at blizzard, was bad enough doing the cooking and jc daily, daily lol I truly detest dailies, they suck the life and soul from me. Thankfully i have enough alts that aer 85-90 i fiddle about with them if im not raiding on mains.

I remeber back in vanilla record was smth around 4days and 10 hours of gameplay to lvl a character to 60. So if you spend 2h playing game daily it's like 54 days of leveling

FYI now you can lvl to 90 in less that 3 days of gameplay

They need to do a psychological study on people who are lv60 rogues that go to low level zones just to gank low lv players. I would bet that all those kids that go into schools shooting people rolled rogues type characters in video games.

Erm, wut, dont play on pvp server and dont go ganking anyway, yet i play rogue in every game i can because i like the sneaky aspect, i have yet (checks diary) to go anywhere and kill a bunch of people in a school or anywhere else.

Such a ridiculous shot at a stereotype. More likely its 12 yr kid that finds it funny to camp in a corner on cod aswell while screaming about your mum. The classic generic stereotype of the internet child.
