It really does pick up after the game show episode. This is one of those series where they just kind of threw that into the mix for no real reason. Call it artistic flair on the part of the director/producer(s) of that particular episode.

Hunter x Hunter

Accel World
Ao no Exorcist
Air Gear
Prince of Tennis

Do not like/go for:
Comedy - Not saying it cant have its moments but not as a main thing.

Bishounen
Ecchi
Mecha ( Can be debated, I have just not found anything that was good enough to watch yet)

Maybe Historys Strongest Disciple Kenichi? It has Ecchi but I wouldn't say its the animes greatest thing.

Try Code Geass, pretty sure you will enjoy it.

I am also looking for a recommendation. I want something really long. At least 150 eps.

I have seen all the basic ones.
Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Conan, Hunter x Hunter(should be more than 150 right?), Hajime no Ippo(this as well right?). I'm sure I'm missing one or a few.

So yea, any long running animes that you could recommend?

And well, it would also be great if the anime was awesome as well and not just long

Edit: I once tried watching D Gray Man but didn't really like it, saw maybe 15 eps? If says I should really watch I might give it another go.

Not alot of animes that are 150+ eps long and worth watching imo.
The ones I prefer are the ones about 30ish episodes.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood or whatever the new show was called is pretty damn good. Dunno how many episodes though.

I think I've tried watching gintama once. Didn't like it. Didn't watch many episodes though. Should I watch some more?

I've already seen fairy tail. Must say that it's utter shit for the moment. And has been so for quite a while.

LoGH and MI doesn't seem all that interesting. But I might be wrong though?

Dragon Ball on the other hand. Maybe it's time I watched that.

You should definitely watch DB staren, it's a classic!

And now that all eps are ready to sweep through in one go it's fun to watch. It must've been a pain in the ass to follow it back in the days when they taking forever with some fights, and all those cliffhangers..

Gintama has some truly perfect moments of comedy, and I do think the more you watch the better it does get. (perhaps thats just me though)

Fairy Tail - I agree it's pretty awful, I kinda just put it up there because of it's length rather than it's quality

LoGH is a very highly rated space opera that if you have any interest in the genre you're almost guaranteed to enjoy.

Maison Ikkou is a classic, but it's not an essential watch I guess. (but as a warning if you do decide it watch it, it's quite slow to start)

As for Dragon Ball, I'm slowly making my way through it at the moment, I'm about 80 episodes in. It doesn't have entire episodes of charging up as in DBZ, but it does have the typically shonen overpowered MC not avoid attacks on purpose. i.e Monkey D Luffy vs Hody Jones.

But on the other there are those kinds of things in other animes as well. Like Hajime no Ippo.

Take your time watching it, it nearly has 600 episodes.
I started watching from ep 1 when it had around 200 episodes.. Caught up in a few months and now still watching every week (my LIFE isnt complete without an episode every week!), def my #1, cant believe you haven't found it yet!

Yes! Evangelion 3.0 is raw is out at last! Well, it was released yesterday...

Anyway, I (or We, if you are waitng for it as much as i do) only need to w8 for english subs and it's done! I'm so happy
