Only been here a few years compared to some other members. I won't get involved as to why I think this is happening, I don't know the in's and out's of running a tracker like this.

All I will simply say is this; it was good times and I will miss that Christmas Calendar - that was pretty ace idea. Catch you later TB

It's selfless, honest, site-serving and humbling comments from good staff/ex-staff like this that I'll miss most. (BoB, Denise, Sharm1, tokol, JEFFSR, zx, cRaZy et. al. come to mind)
Should the site manage to survive new leadership needs to keep comments like this at the forefront. Site and users first, staff demi-god attitude(s) last.

Long time viewer, first time poster.

Thought I should add my thanks to everyone who contributed in keeping TBy up and running, and to all the uppers for the content. For years TBy has been the only site I've trusted, admittedly only made a couple of small donations, but did actually seed as much as possible - which is pretty high praise considering my ISP counts uploads towards my monthly quota (sadface).

I'll be keeping an eye out for a revival, and if it does happen, I look forward to contributing to what appears to be an excellent community.

A sad day indeed. I've never been active on the forums, but have been a member for over 8 years and a have a bit over 3TB in available DL ratio. TB has always been fast, easy and a place where I could lower my shoulders. Thank you for all the time and effort you've put in.

Does the internet look like a colder place to anybody else now?

In what kind of money do you want money to keep the site running? $, �, �? Other?

If I get an adress, I can send money in a letter. That is an safe option, you can have someone you trust to recieve the letter with money and then u get it, so they can't directly link the money to you and u wont get into truoble and you can keep this site running! I know illegal online drugstores use this way and they don't get into trouble so it will work for you to!

Plz! Anything but a shutdown of this wonderful site!

Ppl here aren't selfish(I hope), and just think about how much u save by downloading instead of buying, put some money into this, it's worth it! + it's a great community and I wouldn't like to see it go to waste!

I don't wanna see the sad day when this all shuts down!

I think someone already mentioned the average monthly cost in Euros.
I'm willing to mail dollars or send a donation directly to staff to keep this site afloat. For me it's not even about the torrents. This site is the result of the work of many people and it deserves to be saved.

I think it would be possible to go through the code and make it readable and runnable. A team of coders would be able to do it in a month or two.
My suggestion is; Get a new team with some oldies and many new fresh faces, take down the site, read and fix the code, get a reasonable finance situation, re-launch with a blast.

It`s a lot of good people on this site with a lot of combined will and eager, so it should be possible.
Money is no problem, I'm willing to bet my arse that all who already have donated would easily make a new one and that would probably cover a lot.

As far as I can see paying the bills seems to be the only issue..

Not Donations.
Not coding.
Not staff.

A months grace with the server costs, alot of people are willing to help but not with the way the site is at the moment. That can be sorted but we need time.

It's not one person stopping anything, its a whole mixture of things from people butting heads to just not agreeing with the way the site should move forward.

The site works, the community loves the place, paying the bills is the main issue right now.

All the other shit can be worked out along the way, I think this has been an eye opener for everyone concerned. Things will change but the site does not really have to, it works as is, we just need more users, more activity in the forum, fresh blood and new attitude moving on.

TB needs a driving force to deliver MORE users and torrents, when it's been the other way around for years. BoB has been talking a lot about age recently, I think with a regular triple dose of HGH, he can be that driving force, the human dynamo TB needs for greatness. ;-)
