If the forums are closed so be it, don't say I did not try though!

Taking the forum legit would be a temp measure, the main goal is to have a fully working torrent site.

End of an era certainly. Torrentbits was my very first private torrent site I got into, so this news certainly brings back some memories. Nostalgia still brings me here every now and then as you can see.

I know my torrenting "career" would have been a whole lot different if it weren't for original TB, therefore I take off my invisible hat and salute you guys.

I think the statistics of those that actually use the forums compared to the number of users that don't would be pretty shocking though.....

The forums and community here is second to none but the majority of people still come here for the torrents that are on offer though. This is my fear with just trying to keep the forums open without the rest of the site.

It is my main concern as well but if it was only for a month or so, the hardcore supporters will still be here. If and when the tracker comes back up, we'd have them to start the seeding and open the doors again. I want to see this place back where it belongs, number 1 for torrents, morals and respect to the users. That is a long way off, just keeping the doors open is the biggest hurdle so far.One that is not being dealt with to quickly.

If you knew how much shit was on my plate right now you would call me mental for even trying to do this but I can't give up without trying a few things. We owe that to ourselves and the users.

Same goes for TVtorrents but they got a seperate site with a shop and merchandise, dno how all that stuff works but they only use Paypal.

Exactly, there are plenty of sites using Paypal.

It's not an issue of not taking it, multiple european IP's logging into the paypal account flagged the problem. Then add the point of, Paypal did not like us having Pron on the tracker.

There you have our problems on the past accounts getting locked/flagged.

Bitcoin is the way forward, its anon, if the host don't take it then change it up and pay it through paypal. Bitcoin is anon, the paypal address it gets changed into is anon, the server bill that gets paid is anon until the host gets a warrant to show all customers details, which won't happen anytime soon.

Again, my bank does not take cannabis, that don't mean I can't change it into cash to put into my bank. The host not taking Bitcoin is not a valid excuse IMO!

Making forum only from this site is not bad idea cuz ppl already are running around like headless chickens (myself included) and even with no torrents it's always a user base and it could be moved somewhere else later on. It would also cut expenses and wouldn't have anything illegal on it.

Why not keep ppl together? I mean all in all it's worth trying imo, but we'll see....

Well its seems like one big power struggle which is a shame, even fighting while a ship is sinking.

I will be pretty sad when the site shuts, made some good (online) friends on here and continued speaking to others of which iv known for over 10 years (torrentbits).

One minor thing i have to say is i dont visit the forums as much as i used to, this is down to some members getting away with things that quite frankly would have led to them getting banned years past.

However that aside, big thanks to all the staff both past and present for the time and effort spent on this site.

Im sure we will chatch up again on another site, and a few are on my friends list on Steam.

but the sites i mention have XXX and always have yet still no issues, one site has been around 9 years tons of porn an scene stuff but delayed but never any issues with payments, they use paypal. linked directly to the site.

Bob was grassed up, someone decided to contact paypal and tell them BoB was selling pron.

That was the 1st time (i think) that BoB had an issue. Since then its either been Paypal being a bitch over IP's or someone grassing BoB/TBy.


edit - The last paypal account was not frozen here, the problem was a personal one and the person had to remove the paypal. Through no fault of their own and they were willing to continue with great risk to their own life! (not just piracy prosecution).

That is about as much as I am willing to say in the open but the last paypal was not frozen, this time around, no one wants to put their name to the bill!

I download a little, and have been a member, since Tbits,
I hardly write anything in the forums,, Only a couple of senteces now and then,
But i just love to lurk them forums, Getting a lot of tips and tricks throught the years,, And got some cool things recommended, Thanks for that userbase
Have started some threads because i needed help to some computing stuff, And people were eager to help, THanks for that,
Iam checking this site every day, even more than 1 time a day

I dont really want to go anywhere, So if this is the end,, I guess it will be the end of my torrent carreer anyway

But iam supporting Green in what he is suggesting, Even though i dont know how to help, iam no computer wiz and i know nothing about coding. I would love to see the forum still be alive for now, With the blue color and what not.
