latest rumor the next xbox will have drm but its down to the game developers to choose to impliment.
Sir, would you like a drive shaft with that new BMW? As if they'd ship games without it.
well at least its not up to microsoft, im sure some developers will choose not to have drm.
Still shit dont get me wrong but at least its a slim hope.
At the moment PS4 is getting bought on release day, next xbox if it has true drm then im waiting for 6 months to see what happens.
This all said until we see the reveal its all just specultion, who knows maybe its all a smoke screen and they are going to blow our balls off!
..im not betting on it
Not a fan of the "share" button on the PS4 controller.

So Nintendo won't be having a major conference in this year's E3, I never thought i'd see the day.
Are they really struggling that much?
Perhaps it is the best move considering E3 is actually kind of terrible. It's a sleazy, cringe-worthy corporate show. It's only popular because more games/hardware gets announced at e3 than any other show. It's like the Spike VGAs of video game conventions.
i fear for the wii u, with next gen consoles coming out this year its going to kill sales.
The problem lies with the family gamers market they tapped into so well.
Family gamers, kids, mams, dads, uncles dont really give a shit about graphics so they are more than happy with the wii they already have.
Nintendo games are great, them and sega produce/produced the best games imo.
Yet some times its just not enough as we found out with the dreamcast.
nintedos strong point will be game sales for wii and hardware and software for the 3ds which will only get stronger.
Even if they release a great new mario and zelda the sheep are more than happy with call of duty like shit that they call games.
I would probably be more interested in Nintendo if they took more creative risks. They've been using the same franchises for the last 25 years now. I get that they sometime innovate within those franchises, but I don't think thats enough. They also have the mentality that fun is what makes games good and I would like seeing them taking on other directions. there's more to games than only "fun".
Well, they just declared that they will announce the shit 2 days ago so I dunno how that is even possible for you to do! But maybe you are just THAT awesome... I can believe that. Lets go with that!
I get the point your trying to make. Graphics is just as important as fun. This I agree with about 50%.
LA Noire is a good example. Graphics are awesome, game play boring as all hell. Id of prefered less graphics to more fun.
My brother and I spent years playing an old game called Twisted Metal 2. Graphics was average but game play was awesome.
If I am paying top money for a game then I expect the graphics to be as good as the game play. If the game is released at half the price of a normal game then I can forgive graphics as long as game play is fun.
@ Wolcom, it seems like the Wii is directed at kids. I think the NES and SNES had more adult aimed games.

That's actually not what I meant but it's a good point nontheless! What I was trying to say is that there are other ways to engage a player than through fun. take for example the first resident evil, it's not a FUN game to play but it's extremely good because it engages through other means (horror, immersion). DayZ is also a good example, the game controls like a truck and is little to no fun at all but is still very engaging. Spec ops: the line is another good example.
I'm really impressed with Sony this time around, they've done pretty much everything right.
Reassured us it's going to be a gaming unit primarly for one, unlike Microsoft who seems to be focusing on the media entertaintment aspect and Kinect more nowadays, many including myself aint getting hyped at all for this new 'Infinite' console, however i'll hold final judgment but Sony and Playstation 4 seems to have alredy won this based on how they've approached everything, talking to us consumers and also pretty much with every big developer out there.
I'm really glad to see that CD Project RED for example seem to praise it and i'm looking forward to something cool from them on the PS4
EDIT: Also, they seem to be ending the PS3 with a bang this year aswell.
The Last of Us, Beyond:Two souls and Gran Turismo 6.
I've always regarded the Playstation the be the best gaming console as far as exclusives, they take risks and encourage new entries unlike Microsoft with their Halo 434564343412.
Alan Wake 2 could make me a potential costumer though, but that would probably come to the PC aswell this time around.
Gran Tourismo I thought was one of, if not the most overratted game on the PS3.
September 17 is a major date being the release of the next Grand Theft Auto.
Not sure how i fell about GTA5, when GTA4 was about to get released i talked a guy into selling the game at a store few days early for the ps3 and i played it few hours was fun then never again, there really gotta be something new to keep me hooked, saints row 3 was alot more fun and hopefully the 4th game gonna be also.
Tbh i think "The Last Of Us" is the biggest ps3 title of the year looks amazing and with 3 uncharted games in there rooster it cant fail to amaze also.

Uncharted is a great gaming series. I hope it continues but GTA 4 Id rate as the worst GTA game to date of the major updates. I've played GTA, gta2, gta 3, San Andreas ,gta 4 and it will be 5.
The last of us is looking pretty darn neat, I've only watched the first gameplay footage (and the announcement trailer) so I can experience it fresh at release.

The game industry nowadays is nothing but a lies and false advertisement. I wouldn't be surprised if this game actually sucks moose balls.
But then again this group made Uncharted series so there might be some hope left

Naughty Dog, that's all that needs to be said for a great game :p
"Those entitled gamers!", "Kneejerk reaction to "DRM", the man is watching me!", "It's good for Microsofts business! Facebookification of the world!", "Vocal minority!"
I thought ps4 reveal was a little boring, but xbox one was just crap why spend so much time on everything but games thats what people was waiting for.
And a few things i dont like:
It NEEDS to go online atleast once a day.
Kintect NEEDS to be connected to xbox one to work.
And sure i love you can install full games on HD so you dont need to put bluray in but how is that gonna work out? im betting you need to be online when atleast loading game to make sure its original title you own.
Else i dunno waiting on E3 to see more, why they spends ages on sports i wonder, and the tv stuff looks nice but i could't care less and besides this is for the US market im betting its gonna sux for many EU countrys for a very long time.
And the design please VHS died a century ago.
Just read this....
Microsoft has announced that the live TV features coming to its newly revealed Xbox One will first be available in North America, and then will then transition into other regions after that. In a press release from the company, Microsoft noted that "live TV with Kinect Navigation, live TV with OneGuide, Trending, and NFL on Xbox" will all roll out in the US "at launch," but was "anticipating global scale over time."
Microsoft also said that the Xbox One will require a separate cable box, specifying "at launch," so it's possible that the console maker has other plans to deliver television content. The Xbox One is set for release later on this year, and Microsoft has not yet revealed a price.
So like i said above dont hold your breath for it happening soonish in europe so your stuck with a powerfull tv console that you cant use 50% off.
