I don't really care about if something is "always on" but adding it when it doesn't do anything to improve my experience is just idiotic. Sometimes on works for me, quite well. Always on just seems like something that could possibly cause me alot of problems, without giving ANY benefits.
im hoping this is just a smoke screen for something they want to keep under wraps until the show.
However i could well be wrong.
For me its not the end of the world as my consoles dont move from under my tv.
However if this means no pre owned games they can piss off, i will just be getting a ps4
I never did mod my 360, i own over 90 games completely legit, although prob a good 3rd are second hand, i'm also always online unless nets down for some odd reason, but i'm still totally against this bullshit. I thought with sony not doing it this time around and the public opinion of it, it wouldn't be happening. Obviously we don't know for sure yet but this is not so promising. Orth is a dick aswell. Love my xbox but i might vote with my wallet on this one for once, that or just completely move back to PC gaming, just love my acheivements to much lol

This part really pisses me off and I am definitely considering switching to PS4 as well, but there is also something else which has annoyed me for a while and that is the value of Microsoft Points.
Because I'm in Australia if I wanted to buy 2000 MSP I get charged AU$33 while Americans are charged US$25 even though one AU$1.00 is worth US$1.04.
This is a fucking rip-off for us when you consider MSP are used for digital downloads or add-ons etc and it all comes from the same place.
The UK seem to get a good deal like the Americans do.
Microsoft had originally been planning to unveil its next-generation Xbox details at an event in April, but The Verge has learned that the company has pushed this back to May. Windows watcher Paul Thurrott revealed recently that Microsoft is planning an Xbox event for May 21st, and we understand this date is accurate. This is the tentative date for a next-generation Xbox announcement, but Microsoft had originally planned an April 24th event.
I'm just hoping these things will get hacked quickly.
You can bet that both Sony and Microsoft have learned a lot from current gen hacks and have spent untold amounts of money on anti-piracy measures.
Obviously nothing is un-crackable but I suspect that whatever they'll have to do to get pirated games working will render the console largely useless for anything legit this time around.
If the digital distribution services on consoles can manage to catch up to steam/gog/etc I see no reason to pirate. It's so messy, especially on console platforms.
Well, they just declared that they will announce the shit 2 days ago so I dunno how that is even possible for you to do! But maybe you are just THAT awesome... I can believe that. Lets go with that!
So Nintendo won't be having a major conference in this year's E3, I never thought i'd see the day.
Are they really struggling that much?
That is what happens when you have nothing but gimmicks to offer.
The gaming population is now far older than it used to be and people don't want silly cartoon manga games and Mario spin offs as much as they used to....
It works well in Japan as for some reason they love that sort of stuff but the western world is a little different. I think this is the main reason they are beginning to fall behind in recent years.
Sadly I see them following Sega out of the hardware market. . . .

This was once said of IOS yet now the cracker groups are skipping updates just so they can be the first to crack the latest major updates like iso 7 and then ios 7.1. They don't want to release for the current update as not to have their cracks beaten by apple.
Latest sim city only playable online and as far as i know, I dont think its cracked.
I think if you dont have the net soon, you wont be able to play the games.

It's crazy when you think of it, I guess anythings possible.... but Nintendo, I mean their Nintendo for godssake! How many of us grew up with their systems? crazy
I don't know what they don't want to adapt to the western, being stuck in their early 00's bubble it just doesn't work anymore.
Shit even their Mario games feel rehased nowadays, Mario for the Wii-U was very average.
I was looking forward to their conference tbh, because this is their big chance to redeem themselves and finally convince us why we still should get the Wii-U.
I get wet just thinkin of a potential Metroid Prime game or someit in High Definition.
As for Microsoft and Sony I guess Sony wins by default, they just go too much momentum going on right now for microsoft to even be able to compete... they gonna announce a new Halo? really I wouldn't give two cents even if it was in ultra high super duper definition graphics.
