You're missing the point completely.Who knows what lives at the microbiological level at any given time in Nature, even today. We haven't discovered everything yet.Not even close.Never mind the Europeans and Natives.Completely inconsequential. That was just to make a point.
We've evolved with the virii and bacteria (yes virii is the proper plural) on surface now and have developed immunity to some.Who can tell what exposure to a million year old segregated bacterium will cause.
That's my point.

"which most likely not even can survive on the surface due to a much lower pressure and higher temperatures."

That's a statement without fact. Here's another one: Maybe that's all it needs to flourish.

And my point is that the bacteria would have no use to be better suited living on the ground and kill all humans and therefore is extremely likely not to just as a rabbit would have trouble living on the moon.

The scientists are also handling the samples and drilled hole with extreme care so that it doesn't get in touch with the outside and we don't pollute the lake.

So you're comparing something living not having a chance to live on the surface of the Earth where life exits to the chance of a rabbit living on the Moon where no life has a chance of living at all?

On your second point, I'm sure that the Exxon Valdez was piloted with extreme care too and that turned out very well.
I'm sure that the Russians will only use this for the betterment of Mankind, such as better germ warfare weapons.

A group of hackers have managed to gain access to a prominently placed advertising billboard located in the crowded Republic Square in the center of Belgrade, Serbia. For a while the billboard displayed the Pirate Bay logo alongside Ghandi’s quote “first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” The people responsible for the stunt claim the hack was done to demonstrate how little attention people pay to IT security.

Now that it is reported by Forbes people won't call it bullshit.

I was in Klamath Falls,Oregon 2 days ago and NOBODY has any ammo for sale...still.
The only ammo anyone had was 12G target loads.
I suppose people never heard of waxing or cutting target loads to turn them into 1 Oz slugs!

Those were all pistol rounds weren't they, 9mm and. 40?   Strange they would need that much, possibly for range certification  of police/fbi/dea etc use?

Edit:  the local place here has cases of 1000 .223 rounds for $500.

As reported elsewhere, some of this purchase order is for hollow-point rounds, forbidden by international law for use in war

They could atleast have mentioned that hollow-point is common among law enforcement agencies.

That would rule out the target practice theory. Nobody target shoots with HP  ammo.

True, but imo it's very biased to mention that they are banned in international warfare but not mention that they are common among law enforcement agencies. Makes them sound like they are comparable to cluster bombs or something while in fact their purpose is the opposite, which is to reduce civilian casualties.

I agree that it's alarming that Homeland Security is stockpiling guns and ammo though.

Wrong.
The purpose of HP ammo is to inflect as much damage as possible.

You're both right.

HP does typically cause more damage as it tumbles and fragments, but it also won't come out and if it does there's not enough velocity to penetrate another person.  The same reasoning applies to hunting with FMJ, which is illegal most places.  FMJ can penetrate and exit hitting another hunter, or on a miss go through wood, thin metal, etc.   A round that fragments is more likely to kill game quickly, not letting them die slow and painfully, and it wont exit endangering others.

They are used by law enforcement agencies since they can't penetrate a suspect and hit bystanders with lethal force.

Google yanks AdBlock Plus from Google Play, surprising nobody

Quote:

Google is in the habit of making a lot of people very upset lately, it seems.

The newest victim of Google whims is AdBlock Plus, which Google has taken down from Google Play, along with other ad-blocking apps.

According to Google, AdBlock Plus “interferes with or accesses another service or product in an unauthorized manner,” which Google says is a violation of section 4.4 of the Developer Distribution Agreement.
