SO much hate at Germany, do they realize the minute they take their ball and go home the rest of Europe will crumble without their deep pockets since they are the only manufacturing/exporting base on the continent. But sniper so true Greece is delusional on a national level, quite scary.

No they don`t.They started WW2,they loose and bring communism to half of Europe.During WW2 my country (Romania) was Germany’s chief overland supplier of oil and guess what .....they never pay for that oil. After the war they have benefited of  Marshall Plan (officially the European Recovery Program, ERP - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshall_Plan) while countries from Eastern-Europe have benefited of communism and Soviet occupation. So no they don`t deserve to be arrogant.

Pretty fucked if you ask me, give out all this money and look at their economy now. Will all the countries they once help, help them out in today's equivalent amount if america becomes too fucked up?...

They got a huge market to trade with and successfully halted the spread of communism in western Europe.

Believe it or not by staring and loosing the war they just open the door for Stalin. No WW2 ..no Yalta Conference

"While the Soviet Union had already annexed several occupied countries as (or into) Soviet Socialist Republics, other countries in eastern Europe that it occupied were converted into Soviet-controlled satellite states, such as the People's Republic of Poland, the People's Republic of Hungary, the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, People's Republic of Romania, the People's Republic of Bulgaria, the People's Republic of Albania, and later East Germany from the Soviet zone of German occupation. Eventually the United States and the United Kingdom made concessions in recognizing the then Communist-dominated regions, sacrificing the substance of the Yalta Declaration, while it remained in form"

  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yalta_Conference

..if it wasn`t for WW2 (started by Germany) none of this would have not happened. As you say..." never stop to learn".

Directly, no. Through international trade, probably. They never gave it out as a gift, they gave it out to help their trading partners back on their feet so they could buy American merchandise.

Would have been nice if that trillion dollar stimulus that we were told was to primarily passed to rebuild our infrastructure actually went to rebuilding our infrastructure and not simply to bailing out the public sector unions.

Bad news for Chicago..

Mostly sunny in the 80's (25'ish C) for the Fourth of July holiday weekend

the death toll should easily reach double figures

here we go...

Violent Start To Holiday Weekend: 4 Dead, 10 Wounded

Are we counting cops shootings? If so that is 5 on Thursday alone should easily crack double figures.

Well I can recall a time the police in that city accounted for an average of 1 body in the river each day when averaged out.

The Big 'C' has had it's over population of rotten cop the same as L.A. when 77 got arrested for murder by the Feds.

Final toll for Thursday in Chicago....

6 Dead, 28 Wounded In Holiday Weekend Shootings

*edit* appears to be some sort of discrepancies with the figure the Chicago Tribune is going with....

8 dead and 30 wounded

This is a real example of the scary police state people were trying to make that "dog shooting" out to be...

Police arrested a family for refusing to let officers use their homes as lookouts

the cop's actual on the record statement of their plan to approach the neighbor to use their house!!!!....

"Defendant Officer David Cawthorn outlined the defendants' plan in his official report: 'It was determined to move to 367 Evening Side and attempt to contact Mitchell. If Mitchell answered the door he would be asked to leave. If he refused to leave he would be arrested for Obstructing a Police Officer. If Mitchell refused to answer the door, force entry would be made and Mitchell would be arrested.'"

Quote:

Officers then arrested him for obstructing a police officer, searched the house and moved furniture without his permission and set up a place in his home for a lookout, Mitchell says in the complaint.

"Although plaintiff Anthony Mitchell was lying motionless on the ground and posed no threat, officers, including Officer David Cawthorn, then fired multiple 'pepperball' rounds at plaintiff as he lay defenseless on the floor of his living room. Anthony Mitchell was struck at least three times by shots fired from close range, injuring him and causing him severe pain." (Parentheses in complaint.)
He says they also hurt his pet dog for no reason whatsoever: "Plaintiff Anthony Mitchell's pet, a female dog named 'Sam,' was cowering in the corner when officers smashed through the front door. Although the terrified animal posed no threat to officers, they gratuitously shot it with one or more pepperball rounds. The panicked animal howled in fear and pain and fled from the residence. Sam was subsequently left trapped outside in a fenced alcove without access to water, food, or shelter from the sun for much of the day, while temperatures outside soared to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit."
of course none of the officers were ever subjected to official discipline or even inquiry, the complaint states.

That`s a great article

"Deviation" from democracy are recently happening more and more often in almost every democratic country,it`s like they are preparing for something. I don`t know maybe it`s just me and my paranoia, but I got the feeling that something bad is going to happen ,something bad that will hit the whole world.
