Daughter trying to evict 91 year old father. This is pure disgraceful

More disgraceful that this is considered news and media are reporting it. Only from one point of view without a comment from the daughter or anyone else in the near family. How media can be so biased to go out of their way to create an emotional story to get readers is beyond me. The lack of information regarding their family situation/dynamics and the mental state of the 91 year old who needs a 'legal guardian' is indicating that there's more to the story then they are reporting. Journalist c*nts...
Maybe the media has got the story right, and that would be sad - yes. But if they got it wrong then it's even more sad..

Sharia law used in the United Arab Emirates to jail Australian woman after she was gang-raped
"Alone and frightened, she took herself to hospital. What she did not know is that under the UAE’s strict sharia laws, if the perpetrator does not confess, a rape cannot be proved without the testimony of four adult Muslim male witnesses. She was charged with having illicit sex outside marriage, and thrown in a filthy jail cell for eight months.

One reason why young muslim mens are on the top of the rape stats on every country.
They just don't get into their thick heads that here the judicial system is based on equality, where men and women are treated similary.
They mention a "strict version of sharia" in that article, is there any other version than strict when we talk about sharia ?

Yes ,but if you are weak and skinny you can go to the gym and become stronger. There are steroids that can make you stronger if you are a wimp. But there are no steroids that could make someone smarter.Like Ron White said:

No surprise there.  The warrior type strong alpha males take care of themselves and their family's,  while t.he wimpy whiney types want to be taken care of by their mommy's (government).  Doesn't really need an Aarhus University study to come to that conclusion.

edit:  Dunno if it was part of the study,  but typically they make more money and have hotter women too.  Kinda makes me feel bad for the candy asses, but not really.

You meant if your puny it can help build you up.
Drawback is your balls will shrink to the size of raisins and mentally you will still be a wimpy liberal.

Forget left/right and shirt size vs raisin-balls...live life and have a beer with some KFC:

I wonder who are the ones which have contributed the most to the progress of civilization:

A new study by the Pew Research Center finds that the GOP is alienating scientists to a startling degree.

Only six percent of America's scientists identify themselves as Republicans; fifty-five percent call themselves Democrats. By comparison, 23 percent of the overall public considers itself Republican, while 35 percent say they're Democrats.

The ideological discrepancies were similar. Nine percent of scientists said they were "conservative" while 52 percent described themselves as "liberal," and 14 percent "very liberal." The corresponding figures for the general public were 37, 20 and 5 percent.

That depends on what one's view of contributing to society is.  I'd consider serving in the military the greatest possible contributiin, where liberals are virtually nonexistant. Scientists want grants and spend their time in ltheoretical academia,  they'd naturally gravitate towards liberalism.  Conservatives greatly outnumber liberals in the general population.

It's scientists who provide the weapons to  those who serve in military, provide the means to cure ill people, provide all kind of applications we are able to use to make our lives better.
Naturally that all requires lot's of reading too.

I don't. For me somebody who is able to prevent a military conflict (using his/hers brains and words) is a greater hero, as one example.
Also a doctor who saves lives (with the tools scientists have provided to him/her) is a much greater hero to me.

Yet the society has gone more and more liberal all the time and continues to do so.
Which means that even the wimps are physically weaker, they are the ones who are in charge.
Evolution in working, it's not coincidnece that the organ which is our strongest point (our brains) is what dictates our path. If it was large biceps, we would still be in a cave playing with shit.

Our leadership (as well as in other country's) swings back and forth all the time, I wouldn't agree that liberals are increasingly in charge because it's simply not true.  Leadership (at least in my country) in the past 100 years has swung consistently back and forth, before then ALL leaders would be considered taliban-esque  conservative by today's standards. I see no pattern of increasing liberalism.

Hasn't the liberal ideas for both parties and the population increased the last 100 years?

That somewhat true.  The democratic party has been dragged, kicking and screaming, from their racist/ anti civil rights views by republicans.  Republicans have also done much capitulation.  Supporting certain social programs, for example.

Either you are inside a bubble or you are in denial.

What about gay marriage (and gays in general ), weed, genre equality, the position of minorities, you name it.
Compare the society from your childhood and today and can you really say that you don't see a huge difference ?
You gotta understand that I don't talk about social liberalism, but liberalism.

If you're referring to "classic  liberalism" I'd agree to some extent, but that entire political philosophy is thwarted by modern liberalism (that includes both major political parties) Today's left wing school of thought, our current administration for example, by no means follows the doctrine of freedom and equality.  Modern liberalism is government authoritarianism, plain and simple.  The closest thing we have to a classic liberal is Ron Paul, and he can't get more than a couple percent of the vote.  We have, ignoring the advice of the founders, traded freedom for (imaginary) security.
