A shopkeeper in the Chinese city of Haikou reportedly died of shock after having his family jewels locked in a vice-like grip by an irate woman.

It hurts just to think about it!

And I doubt it's the only case. Is this what our taxes go to; so that the politicians can give eachother Hermes golf bags?

I`m confused, 9 percent is a huge difference. The difference between human and chimp genetic material, is about 2.7 percent of the genome. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chimpanzee_genome_project)

Are the chimps human too?

Nope, for example 23 pairs vs 24 pairs of chromosomes.

This whole thing looks fishy to me.

Indeed. It looks more like an aborted human fetus...a malformed fetus. They would have to say the DNA was damaged and because of that the measurements were not accurate...and not that it`s a human with 9% differences of genetic material.

I do hope that even the most weapon-crazy people on this forum agrees that giving a 5 year old boy a lethal weapon to play with is stupid.

Mr Cameron said that he wanted “good, clean WiFi” in public spaces which would give parents confidence that their children cannot access illicit websites on smart phones or mobile computers.

...how?

And yet again I'm astonished at the level of control over our lives the politicians feel they need to have.

Never to young to learn good safety habits. I have no problem with a 5 year old owning a firearm, which is probably about the time I bought my sons their first pump gun, as long as they're well supervised. I guaran-damn-tee you more kids diei n swimming pool accidents and for the same reason that this baby did, which is neglectful parents.

That boy could have just as easily pushed his sister into a swimming pool, which is so commonplace that there wouldn't have been a story on it, but we wouldn't say allowing a five year old in a swimming pool should be banned. What we do is expect their guardian to be responsible enough to ensure the child's safety.

I agree with almost everything u say, wouldn't give a kid a gun though, especially not one which looked like a toy.

To learn a kid safety habits like don't aim a rifle against something you don't intend to shot is good, but I wouldn't trust them to really understand it until a higher age.
Letting kids fire guns are ok under controlled circumstances with rules like only point the weapon towards the target.

They should have given a gun to the sister also and that would never have happened.
