The IRS Doesn’t Think “Reasonable Expectation of Privacy” Applies to Your Emails

Government does not care that...

Quote:

In 2010, a significant appeals court judgment held in United States v. Warshak that email was protected by the Fourth Amendment, and that government agents should obtain a probable cause warrant from a court before compelling email providers to hand over users’ messages—regardless of whether they had been stored on a server for more than 180 days. This is the highest legal standard, requiring authorities to show there is “reasonable basis” for believing the search will yield evidence of a crime.

President Pay Your Fair Share only paid 18% rate

that is a hell of a lot of deductions to work it down to only 18%, if government was as crucial as he says it is why take any deduction at all?

It's only crucial that you and I pay...so they don't have too!

Yes. You were ironic. So do you want to see raised taxes so that he has to pay just as much as the common man? At least their way of "avoiding taxes" are by donating cash to charities. I do wonder if your man Romney does the same thing? Hypocrite.

I'm assuming the author doesn't have a clue what's happened in the past four years then?

To be honest not a too big lost. At least when it comes to the chock treatment we are being spoon-fed all the time.

Well once you dig through all the tabloid nonsense there have been many defining politcal and economical events during the past four years.

While I agree that news today is atleast 95% tabloid-ish garbage where media tries to get a "personal" angle on things instead of focusing on important facts, claiming that you've lived the past four years without consuming news is just bullshit.

I don't believe Timex was a Romney supporter, other than in an anybody but Obama capacity. Ron Paul was his choice iirc.

There's no need to wonder about the man's charitable donations, there's plenty of information on that around.   Romney has donated far more than Obama.  Over the past 20 years the aggregation is nearly 40% of earnings (read: tens of millions, potentially hundreds).  Obama gave only a pittance of his income, until he knew the spotlight was on his return, that is.  The test of a mans character is what he does when nobody is watching.  Obama has none by that measure, and Romney seeths it.  He's one of the most truly decent men to enter politics in my lifetime.  It's a shame he lost the election due to an electorate full of pop culture ignoramuses, such as yourself.  You should really get a clue.

#1528315 by bolg (Power User) at 2013-04-16 22:40:19 (3 months ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

Yeah, Romney runs a charity foundation which donates money to other charities. And he donates money outside of the charity as well.

Quote:

And if you think he just donates come elections, a quick web search'll prove you wrong.
