If he leaves office in 8 months things will never be the same. I am more thinking towards a brighter future after Mubarak leaves..

I have no idea about sending Aid. I am pretty some people need it the thing is how to provide to them, and where, and how to do we make sure that we wont be robbed

thieves are attacking wheat cars and bread is expensive in some places..

most of the people I know are on facebook chat now and most of them want the protesters to go home and end all of this

But I think there is no going back now. Things keep getting escalated pretty fast

Aha ok. I'll look into it. !! Can you find out about the postal service? if it's still up I mean.

Yeah I think you mostly got what you wanted. I mean, president obama has already told mubarak not to run for office. He pressured mubarak privately. So mubarak cant run again even if he wanted. I dont even think.. obama will support anyone who is part of the political elite, such as suleiman..so in a way, you already got what you wanted. The political elite probably wont try to hold on to too much power, becuause obama has made clear they wont have any legitimacy, if there is no reform

However in the end, its up to the egyptian people

EDIT : obama is not the one who decides, but if the current political elite in egypt wont have the support of the EU or the U.S they cant hold on to power right? there would be no point..just saying so its never gonna be the same anyways

Welcome back to all our Egyptian members.Situation from Egypt remind me of the situation from my country 22 years ago when dictatorship fell ,back then I was one of the protesters.I`m sure in the end you`ll gain your freedom, don`t lose hope.

what the opposition is doing now is what they accuse mubarak of doing the last 30 years,
we cant re-move mubarak because some people dont want him,

right now there are more than one voice, and the only way of doing the what the majority wants is with elections , real elections, with good preparation that leave no doubt that it had any form of forging

aljazeera news channel says about 50% lies, and 50% truth.
they said that millitary's F-16 and hellis is to terroris people, and they said that miliitary is shooting people, and i was in the street myself, and know what they said is LIES
and other things too.........
people are now saying in the protests in the streets "where is aljezeera, this is the egyptian people"
in a refrence to their lies about us

@pharotorrent,demagh

najib saweras , that man already had business in many arabian coutries, and non arab countries too probably, and loosing a fraction of that in egypt will not make him 'poor'

it is easy to make mess and chaos appears as if they are from a specific political view,
some people doing a mess in the name of 'mubarak' doesnt mean anything, because he have been in office for 30 years, and this is a new thing

the fights happening between people of different views are (sadly) normal, its like fights happening between 'zamalek' and 'elahly' supporters (2 biggest football team in egypt)

It's insane, over a week of mainly peaceful protests and then the shit hits the fan as soon as Mubarak's supporters start protesting, tells us all we need to know I think.

I get a bad feeling when Mubarak says he'll leave power in 6 to 8 months. Why wait til then? My fear is that he'll use that time to asset-strip your country and take everything of value that's not nailed down.Maybe I'm wrong, maybe he's already got everything he could take but I truly get a bad feeling from his speech he gave the other night.

Yeah Your profile says you're from the EU. Where exactly?

He happens to live in an EU country that lived under a vicious dictator for decades. You do understand that many Eastern European countries have been added to the EU since it begin right?  One that kind of makes Mubarek look like a kindergarden teacher so you are kind of defensive for a guy living in a country that isn't his own aren't you?

And why attack Hmhef for his point of view?
people on here who have never been to Egypt posting all kinds of bullshit about what is best for the Egyptian people and when one actually speaks up and says he doesn't want these people in the streets his opinion is attacked with everybody trying to change his mind.

Unless there are bands of marauding 2 year olds on tricycles I dont see how a couple of small tires is going to be much of a roadblock.

Just stay safe!

anyways it looks like things got violent today and it doesn't seem like it will be getting any better. Sooner or later the military is going to have to step in and even declare martial law before it turns into a full fledged bloody civil war. You guys are making it hard for Obama to take credit for anything positive that comes out from this.

was doing a bit of googling and you can make some pretty effective spike strips with just some duct tape and nails.

that's just bold and untrue, some of the ppl standing there in tahrir square spent a portion of their life in prison for no reason because of the emergency law. They are just EXPERTS in dealing with his speeches and announced intentions.

Quote:

we cant re-move mubarak because some people dont want him

some?! it reached 1.5 million protesters Tuesday night, and don't believe the phone calls coming on all national TV stations after his speech, that's just ... naive.

Quote:

in hell that is, these pro-mobarak protesters .. where were they for 8 days?! why is always when/where they show up this turn into injuries?! why the army was withdrawn from the square before their arrival, how in hell do horses and camels go into el tahrir square?! i've been visiting the tahrir square regularly for 11 years now as was a student in the american university in cairo, had some training there and finally business meetings are held there regularly since 2007 till last week. Never even have i seen a horse or camel in there before.

There is a difference between the voice of the ppl, and voices they are trying to put into ppl's head, if you actually believe mubarak got REAL supporters that can exceed 1.5 millions with a facebook notice/group .. then you must be living in another egypt.

All previous elections were rigged and all the previous oppositions' requests were focused on putting an international/national observational institute which was faced with depression and failure as the requests were trashed before.

aljazeera news channel says about 50% lies, and 50% truth.

nah, they just report ASAP they hear anything, but to be honest they have no problem disproving this rapidly reported news in the coming ones.

Quote:

they said that millitary's F-16 and hellis is to terroris people, and they said that miliitary is shooting people, and i was in the street myself, and know what they said is LIES

ppl reporting are the problem, since it is a major event they try to cover from all sides. I was watching once and a phone call came on air saying that there is some serious shooting happening behind some store called "al-sallab" in makram ebid and there was nothing as i was guarding there with a friend this specific day, we were hearing an laughing, clearly a mother got worried on her son and wanted some reinforcements to stay below her building .. things like that aren't to be taken as SERIOUS news, just interruptions, funny ones sometimes.

Quote:

people are now saying in the protests in the streets "where is aljezeera, this is the egyptian people"
in a refrence to their lies about us

pro-mobarak protesters tried to light the egyptian museum on fire for some reason, why should i hear them in whatever they are saying?!
watch national channels, watch world news, Jazeera is closer than those local channels to the REAL truth.

najib saweras , that man already had business in many arabian coutries, and non arab countries too probably, and loosing a fraction of that in egypt will not make him 'poor'

so, if i have two sons it i can easily sacrifice one of them?! that doesn't make sense, if you have money that you earned with hard work and planning, it is very hard to just let go of all that for a certain cause, unless the cause is more important than one's relation to money.

Quote:

it is easy to make mess and chaos appears as if they are from a specific political view,
some people doing a mess in the name of 'mubarak' doesnt mean anything, because he have been in office for 30 years, and this is a new thing

what you are seeing in the streets now is the product of his ruling for 30 years, you can't judge before seeing the final product. Also, from another point of view, the emergency law was closing these talking mouths ASAP, but sooner than expected, the mouths growth rate was too fast for them to handle .. and here we go

Quote:

the fights happening between people of different views are (sadly) normal, its like fights happening between 'zamalek' and 'elahly' supporters (2 biggest football team in egypt)

that's bullsh!t, never seen a molotov cocktail in any match before, never seen police leaving the match and jerking off in their homes, never felt so betrayed by a higher authority like this in a match before

also, there are some documents on wiki leaks explaining the government plans to overcome the strike, but it isn't clear if that's real or not, so don't just go say i am spreading lies, make sure of it yourself, there is some hand writing on it, probably will prove if it is a lie or not easier than expected.

1.5 million out of how many? 79,089,650  to be exact...so where are the other 77.5 million people and what do they think?

But 1.5 million lawless people in the streets of Cairo looting, pillaging, rioting and killing people. Lets think about where those non existant Mubarek supporters were? Hmmmm maybe at home not wanting to be killed by obviously armed and irrational people in the streets? Protecting their homes from the looters? I can think of thousands of places that they could have been. Oh wait..according to you they were setting fire to the National Museum

must have been right after they set fire to the national party hq.......

I am not going to even bother replying to the rest of your post because it's obvious you are going to believe whatever rumor or lie or made up load of shit that suits you and no matter how many facts are shown to you you simply are not going to change your mind.

Yup yup. What a sharp mind you have! No doubt, these pro-Mubarak protesters are just such honest people that they magically were able to text practically everyone with a cell phone...  while the cell networks were down!

They must love Egypt so much, that they went to demonstrate their love by beating their brothers and sisters on horses and camels with clubs, rocks and machetes.

They must love Egypt so much that when they're captured, a good portion seem to be off-duty police.

And of course, all these outfits, with journos on the ground, why they must be buying in to the propaganda too. Nah, they're not on the street - they don't know what's happening.
