Car bomb in Beirut killing 8 and injuring over 90.

http://edition.cnn.com/2012/10/19/world … ?hpt=hp_t1

It's a Christian area and supporters of the Christian Phalange Party apparently organized a protest in August where they burned placards with images of General Ali Mamlouk, a top Syrian security official. So the general consensus seems to be Syrian spillover.

The man killed was a top Sunni politician and in Lebanon I believe the Christians and Sunni's have an alliance against the Shiite's back by Syria and Iran.

Finally somebody dares to address the southern shithole of africa aswell.
The leader on rapes (including raping babies) and other criminality.
They wanted freedom, they got it, and now it's even worse than when they were second hand citizens without equal rights, atleast there was some kind of order, now it is literally a jugle.
But it must be our racism which is causing it all, the white mans burden is infinite.

in other shocking news to absolutely nobody.....

Saad al-Katatny elected head of Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party, says goal is to "institute Islamic Sharia law."

Quote:

The FJP is Egypt’s largest political party, currently occupying 47 percent of all seats in the country’s lower house of parliament...

...Katatny was quoted as saying that “The Muslim Brotherhood established the [FJP] to represent the Brotherhood’s political project, which, in the end, will be a wise government that will institute Islamic Shari’a law.”

and now our glorious fucking moron leaders in all the western nations are actually trying to sell us on helping the Syrian "rebels" oust that government. I wonder how that will end up?

Shithole is a bit over the top. SA's a beautiful country.

Its biggest problem is spelled "ANC". They've been riding the Mandela wave for too long (and will probably keep on riding it since the uneducated masses in the township still vote for them) and turned into a corrupt socialist behemoth with abyssmal policies that scare away investors and entrepreneurs from the country. Thankfully the Democratic Alliance is gaining ground and'll hopefully we able to control another province except for Western Cape within the decade. They actually recently made huge progress in the Eastern Cape election which has been the most ANC-loyal of the provinces.

Quote:

South Africa has some of the highest incidences of child and baby rape in the world.[21] In 2001, it was reported by the South African Police Service that children are the victims of 41 percent of all rapes reported in the country.[22] Although there are varying numbers on the amount of reported rapes of children, one report states that in 2000, 21,538 rapes and attempted rapes of children under the age of 18 were reported and another from 2001 states that there were 24,892 rapes.[22][23] Some cite a 400% increase in sexual violence against children in the decade preceding 2002.[24] A third of the cases are committed by a family member or close relative.[25] Child welfare groups believe that the number of unreported incidents could be up to 10 times that number. The largest increase in attacks was against children under seven.

A number of high-profile baby rapes appeared since 2001 (including the fact that they required extensive reconstructive surgery to rebuild urinary, genital, abdominal, or tracheal systems). In October 2001, a 9-month-old named Tshepang was raped by an HIV-positive man and had to undergo surgery in Cape Town.[26] In 2001, another 9-month-old infant was reportedly gang raped by six men, aged between 24 and 66. The infant required extensive reconstructive surgery in Kimberley, Northern Cape.[27] Due to these cases and more, increased attention on baby rape prosecution has occurred.[24]

A significant contributing factor for the escalation in child abuse is the widespread myth in HIV ravaged South Africa that having sex with a virgin will cure a man of AIDS.[28] This virgin cleansing myth exists in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Nigeria.[29] The child abusers are often relatives of their victims and are at times their fathers or providers.[28]

Sexual violence against minors older than the age of infancy is also extremely prevalent in South Africa. According to the Medical Research Council,[30] more than one in four minors experience physical violence at home daily or weekly and more than one third of girls have experienced sexual violence before the age of 18. Its study also states that by 2009, 40% of all victims who reported rape to the police were under 18 and 15% were under 12 years old.

Another issue with sexual violence against minors in South Africa is the sexual abuse and harassment that is reported to occur in schools by teachers and other students. According to the Human Rights Watch,[31] girls from all levels of society and ethnic groups have been subjected to sexual violence at school in bathrooms, empty classrooms, dormitories, and more. Police, prosecutors, and social workers have also complained that many incidents of sexual violence in schools are not reported to them because schools often prefer to deal with it internally, thus hindering justice against the perpetrators. The danger of sexual violence in schools has created a barrier for girls to seek education. HRW also reported that South African girls’ school performance suffers after an incident of sexual violence.

I would say that a shithole is accurate description of a country which has those statistics.

More than 22,000 people have been displaced by violence in Burma's Rakhine state, mostly from the Muslim Rohingya minority, the government says.

UN officials who joined a government tour said many of the displaced, who are in squalid camps, boats, or on islands or hilltops, needed urgent aid.

More than 4,600 houses have been burnt.

Earlier Burma acknowledged more than 80 people had been killed and whole villages destroyed in violence between ethnic Rakhine Buddhists and Rohingyas.

The total number displaced since clashes broke out between the two groups in June is now 100,000.

There is long-standing tension between ethnic Rakhine people, who make up the majority of the state's population, and Muslims, many of whom are Rohingya and are stateless.

The Burmese authorities regard the Rohingya as illegal immigrants and correspondents say there is widespread public hostility to them.

BBC News Link - Tensions rise in Burma between Muslims and Buddhists

The Rohingya are direct descendants of the Muslim Arabic invaders that went eastward into Asia in the Islamic Golden Age and they have had a historical presence in Burma since. In Islam polytheism is regarded as one of the most serious affronts to Allah. It is idolatry and an enemy of Islam. Strict monotheism is the only option and Islam is seen as the perfect monotheistic religion and the people of the book, al-kitaab (Judaism, Christianity) as lesser tolerable monotheistic religions. Buddhism, Hinduism with their shrines, are ultimately committing shirk, which is blasphemy and so can be persecuted. There doesn't exist therefore the best historical or the religious-cultural basis for peace between the Buddhist and Muslims there. And it seems that is the case in most places where Islamic cultures are confronted with foreign cultures. Maybe Turkey has been the only exception; being able to somewhat successfully adapt to Western culture by disabling Islam from the organ of government.

So what are the chances the conflict will spread if Israel attacks? My biggest worry at the moment is that this will escalate to world war. Consider this, if Israel attacks, most muslims will get involved which means the US will have to take a stand for their ally, Israel, which in turn will bring in the other big powers.

But hey, not to worry they got the US in their pocket (according to their PM see link) so they can do what ever they want.

I have a feeling from a "muslim" perspective anything short of the media reporting from this extreme...

would be considered favoring the Israeli's

Remember that its just people trying to live day by day that are dying. People trying to build their homes and raise their family's. Many real muslims I know are wondering how after 2001 many of their home lands has radicalised.

Propaganda works in both ways. If you exclude someone they are gonna think that they really are that. The real loosers are the normal people. When governments are at wars its the people dying.

Palestine has radicalised from PLO to hamas and might even go more extreme (islamic jihad). The extremists are winning voters every time a bomb lands on a family's home.

I was born an raised Lutheran Christian. I'm not religious though. When I went to school the muslims never covered their hairs or anything like that. There where never any talk about who was right and we respected each others personal views a lot more.

If any government would kill my entire family and bomb our houses I would go after them. I would use the Anarchist cookbook and the CIA-manuals that got handed out in Cuba that I have saved somewhere around here. Every action has an opposite and equal reaction. I think most of you would agree on this no matter if you are American standing with a rifle protecting your land or living in a village in a hut in somalia.

Al Qa'ida had about 100 operatives before 2001. Who knows how many supporters of Anders Behring Breivik there is today. And it is us whom with our words are pushing people in one direction or another.

Anonymous leaks personal information of 5,000 Israeli officials

The group also said “Israeli Gov. this is/will turn into a cyber war.”
Earlier, the group hacked over 700 hundred Israeli websites, including the Bank of Jerusalem, the Israeli Defense Ministry, the IDF blog, the President's official website and many others.
Most of the sites remain down.

Hamas has fired over 100 rockets a day. Of course Israel has a right to defend themselves. Hamas is a brutal political organization that uses the civilian population as often as they can.

Quote:

But there were signs on Saturday that not all the Palestinian casualties have been the result of Israeli air strikes. The highly publicised death of four-year-old Mohammed Sadallah appeared to have been the result of a misfiring home-made rocket, not a bomb dropped by Israel.

The child’s death on Friday figured prominently in media coverage after Hisham Kandil, the Egyptian prime minister, was filmed lifting his dead body out of an ambulance. "The boy, the martyr, whose blood is still on my hands and clothes, is something that we cannot keep silent about," he said, before promising to defend the Palestinian people.

But experts from the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights who visited the site on Saturday said they believed that the explosion was caused by a Palestinian rocket.

Hamas is 100% clear terrorist organization and the west should not negotiate with them at all, instead we should let the israelis take care of them, they know how to deal with terrorists.
Any organization which brainwashes kids and recruits kids to fight their wars is a terrorist organization, period.
