Report: 4 injured after explosion at kosher store

Quote:

The Sipa news agency says that the small explosion was set off by two hooded people dressed in black who entered the store around midday and put a package inside, citing an unnamed police official and a Jewish organization. The two fled after throwing a rock through the shop's window shortly before the explosion, the police official said

Issues? Issues? Okay.. that's an understatement. Maoists, Leninist, Stalinist - wanted the same as far as religion was concerned. Abolition of, followed by the persecution of, resulting in the slaughter and death of religious. Anarchists, today little children in black clothes who throws rocks at the authorities, but in the 20th century increasingly violent fuckers who blew up shit left and right across continental Europe, particular France and Russia. Hardly about issues.

But left-wing means here socialist-democrats - leftists with a shred of courage than their other left-leaning cousins. Good on Charlie Hebdo to publish it

The magazine has, acording to wikipedia, a "strongly left-wing, anarchist slant" where the left-wing "are people who generally support social change to create a more egalitarian society." Imo that suggests they're  further away than socialdemocrats.

New study by Stanford University on the effectiveness of drone attacks in Pakistan:

Quote:

It also casts doubts on Washington's claims that drone strikes produce zero to few civilian casualties and alleges that the United States makes "efforts to shield the drone program from democratic accountability."
[..]
"TBIJ reports that from June 2004 through mid-September 2012, available data indicate that drone strikes killed 2,562 - 3,325 people in Pakistan, of whom 474 - 881 were civilians, including 176 children. TBIJ reports that these strikes also injured an additional 1,228 - 1,362 individuals," according to the Stanford/NYU study.

Will this have any impact on US-Pakistani relations?

Thousands of rioters torched Buddhist temples and homes in southeastern Bangladesh Sunday over a photo posted on Facebook deemed offensive to Islam, in a rare attack against the community.

Officials said the mob comprising some 25,000 people set fire to at least five Buddhist temples and dozens of homes in Ramu town and its adjoining villages, some 350 kilometres from the capital Dhaka.

The rioters claimed the photo allegedly defaming the Koran was uploaded on Facebook by a young Buddhist man from the area, district administrator Joinul Bari said.

“I have seen 11 wooden temples, two of them 300 years old, torched by the mob. They looted precious items and Buddha statues from the temples. Shops owned by Buddhists were also looted,” said Sunil Barua, a local journalist on the scene.

Mr. Barua, himself a Buddhist, said 15 Buddhist villages were attacked and more than 100 houses were looted and damaged. “The villages look like as if they were hit by a major cyclone,” he told AFP by phone.

This is an absolute travesty.  The man who posted such pictures needs to tried and prosecuted for "inciting" these peaceful people and forcing them into committing such extreme acts of violence in the name of their peaceful religion.  All over the world this is happening.  Can't help but wonder if the incessant apathy by the West will ever come to an end.

I truly can care less if you feel offended or harassed.  This is a discussion forum.  Maybe you can't handle "it."  Oh, did I do it again?  No one is forcing you to comment or to reply, and no where in my post did I address you or any comment you made.  The whole "incitement" narrative, that you happen to agree with, is the same tripe being pushed by Obama and the MSM.

You forgot MSNBC "Vine" comments.

They really are worth a good read if your feeling a bit down and want to smile at what complete idiots rant on about...sort of makes up for the slanted news "reporting" by people who have not heard of a spell checker.

Just to get back on topic and away from the threat of the thought police.

There has been a very real escalation on the Syrian front...

Turkey PM’s office says Turkish artillery fired on Syria after shelling of Turkish town

Quote:

The artillery fire on Wednesday followed shelling, believed to be from Syrian government forces that hit the Turkish village of Akcakale. A Turkish ruling party official says five people died.

Anyway, the Iranian rial has dropped 50 % in value in the last few days, sparking riots. The government has closed all currency exchanges. Both the US and Ahmadinejad thank/blame economic sanctions by the west while the people seem to be focusing their anger towards Ahmadinejad, blaming him for financial mismanagement.

shenanigans afoot if you ask me being October and all. It just reeks of an "outside party" playing some sort of temporary one time currency weapon card so they can than pronounce how great the sanctions are working (probably at some highly televised program watched by countless millions) to discourage another party from attacking and thus maybe causing previous party control of their government.
