strikes everywhere, asking for better salaries, retarded promotions and bonuses being approved and finally what we call "tathbeet" meaning being secured into your position to end needless internships which weakens the employees position to claim their rights.

Some had their requests fulfilled ASAP, some are still negotiating and others had no response or whatsoever from their upper management

Persecutions of many members of the last regime is being processed right now and many cases are being opened dialy, the numbers in billions are starting to appear, wish we had all fish surrounded so no one can escape.

Many personal movements cleaning the streets, fixing pavements managing work requests are on the move, wish this spirit lasts for a while.

@hmhef
well it is no more useful to discuss this, but i agree with what you said, HE wasn't bad BUT he had no control over the country/ministers/whatever as well .. so .. why president still?!

VBG's point is not that improbable i agree, but we got to have some faith, we can't take any matters again into our own hands anymore, we NEED to work, produce .. fast.

Oh, and i disagree calling the muslim brother hood and illegal move, they weren't, there was nothing in the LAW / Constitution that ever made such claims, they were just not a political party "7izb" by law, which is currently changing btw.

Way down upon the Swannee River,
Far, far away,
There’s where my heart is turning ever,
There’s where the old folks stay.
All up and down the whole creation,
Sadly I roam,
Still longing for my childhood station,
And for the old folks at home.

All the world is sad and dreary
Everywhere I roam.
O dear ones, how my heart grows weary,
Far from the old folks at home.

All ‘round the little farm I wander’d,
When I was young;
Then many happy days I squander’d,
Many the songs I sung.
When I was playing with my brother,
Happy was I.
Oh, take me to my kind old mother,
There let me live and die.

One little hut among the bushes,
One that I love.
Still sadly to my memory rushes,
No matter where I rove.
When will I see the bees a humming,
All ‘round the comb?
When shall I hear the banjo strumming,
Down in my good old home.

CBS News' Lara Logan assaulted in Egypt

Quote:

While reporting from Egypt for a "60 Minutes" story, CBS News correspondant Lara Logan was sexually assaulted and beaten. According to a statement issued by CBS on Tuesday, Logan was attacked on Feb. 11, the day Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak stepped down. She had been covering the rejoicing in Tahrir Square when she and her team were surrounded by a mob of more than 200 people. After being pulled away from her team, Logan "suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating" before being saved by a group of women and Egyptian soldiers. She flew back to the United States on the first flight the next morning and is now recovering in a hospital.

I'm guessing it is a culture celebration thing.

Anyway what will happen now, the military will run the government until the situation stabilises?

When 200 people attack and brutally rape Any person then it just shows the rest of the world that those people are animals.

And lo and behold, we bring those animals to our own countries so they can continue their rape rampage! Here where I live if you read or hear about a rape you instantly know its an immigrant, first, second or even third generation aswell.

When will our government wake up!

wait guys, you must be wrong..when I brought up the fact that western women who travel to Egypt and are either unaccompanied or left unaccompanied are treated like whores, groped and talked to in a horrible manner I was assured it was not a cultural thing but the place I was

either one of them is being sexually assaulted...do you really think they "raped" her in a crowd in public?

While being beaten by 199 others not to mention. Still it's sick and doesn't exactly send a positive signal out to the world that "so many" reporters are being attacked down there.

Seems 52-53 reporters either got "kidnapped/attacked/assaulted/harassed/knifed/had equipment stolen" I don't know exact details, not necessarily on the same day, but a journalist got killed by a sniper.

Looks like things are starting to heat up in Bahrain now. Unlike in Egypt where the protests were very diverse the protests in Bahrain seem to be mainly the Shia majority protesting against the Sunni controlled government. I suspect the last thing the Arab Sunni's want is another Iranian proxy state popping up next to them so there is real concern the Saudi's will most likely intervene if that were to happen.

Like I said it is not for myself to say what another country should do as I have much to deal with inside my own country attempting to return my own government to ONLY the power it has under our Constitution...but I have to say that I suspect/see those in power playing the population with pupets in place much the same as here in the USA with Obama.

Real change can only come from upholding  each owns Constitution and have those we elect do so.
(pain killers and beers...no time to correct any typos.
Sorry.)

Looks like Bahrain is following Tunisia and Egypt in demonstrating/rioting against the government.I'm starting to get rather concerned about the way things are heading in the Middle East,it's always been volatile in some areas but these are the "stable" countries that are kicking off and I can't see what this might mean for the region except possibly "not good".

that is what most people were worried about. Everybody was united and now they are all squabbling for a piece of the spoils and positions within the government. The very reason that the revolution worked is now causing these problems. When they overthrew Mubarek the people were united together. Not behind a particular person or party. And now with the power vaccum there is no clear cut choice to lead Egypt out of this crisis. All those people who were hugging in the streets days ago are now looking for ways to stab each other in the back for power. This is why I seriously think the Military could reconsider giving control back tp the public.

Egypt is last weeks news; Bahrain is going to be the big one since its  really the first uprising where there is no question of it being a proxy Saudi vs Iran battle. If it starts getting really out of hand the Saudi pretty much already said are going to get involved which leads to the big question of how Iran responds.
