So I tried to join and got kicked by the doorman. Not on the whitelist.

malah- sorry about that. I thought I got everyone on it. for some reason the whitelist dream sent me was not letting me save any new additions so I just started a new one. I'll add you to it right now/

Haha, I bookmarked this video this week and started fidling with the design. I didn't really test much but I don't think it will work with the lag we have now. Hell, even zipper elevators didn't work on the last server.

But yes, that design is probably the best and most reliable I have seen.

That elevator will not work. Tried it on my old server. I was 2 feet from the server and it still wasn't working properly online.

Dream- I was looking into world portal but it is 1.2.3 and by the comments, seems a little buggy. I'll wait for an update to it before I throw it on. If it's not updated by the weekend I'll add it anyway and see what happenns.

I'm also going to skip citizens and try the new citizens2. I'm adding it tonight. It is a dev build so it may be buggy.

I am also installing an update to magiccarpet. I hope it fixes the lag issues.

So there is like 50 pages in this thread, a bit to much to read through for instructions on how this is done, and the first post contains nothing to help me out exept from some posts suggesting "send me a pm" by kakaman.

I will be starting a new thread quite soon. I just want to work a few more bugs out.

The server has changed hands since the first page. I'm the new host of the server.
If you want to join just pm me your minecraft name and I'll add you to the whitelist.

something happened with permissions. all warps are gone and I cannot create another one.

Sorry.. I was wrong. home is gone and some of warps, not all of them are gone.

Portals are up and running in the condo building again.

Unfortunately I am the only one that can create them at the moment as the newer bpermissions is not compatible with the current version of World Portal. The developer of the plugin is working to correct the issue. For now you will just have to let me know if you need one created.

May i suggets setting up some warps at Asgard, to make the "elevators" there work again?

If you want to play, send a PM to either bjeff, mr_malah or me.

The PM needs to contain your minecraft username.

EDIT: Does anyone know of a method to automatically archive data that's being accessed on Windows?

The plugin that ties into the server software can sort of do it... But it freaks out if a file is deleted while it works... Which happens more often than you'd think. :/

And as such the ramdisk can go un-backuped for several hours at a time. This is, needless to say, not good.

Thoughts/Suggestions?
