EDIT: THe amd RAGE driver update was causing teh minecraft crash. rolled back to old driver = fixed.

since normal minecraft is getting boring these days ( im waiting for the official 1.9 update )

Sadly, I agree with fakaaa... Minecraft has gotten quite boring lately.

Not much I can do about it sadly, with my severly limited free time...

Not to mention my even MORE limited time at home where the server is.

However, feel free to suggest things I could incorporate into the server

For example, a PvP-arena plugin shouldn't be that hard to find and set up in a single weekend.
The rest could be done remotely from my laptop during my free time in the barracks.

I have to disagree - Minecraft is more fun than ever! I'm working on an awesome racing-track at the moment. You know.. for racing!!

I had one thought though. Don't know if there's anything to do about it, but: The 1.9 update will feature a pretty updated nether with fortresses, netherwarts and so on. We want all those feats! I'm all for keeping the current map, but with a new nether (if that's even possible).

I also noticed that all nether portals lead to the same "spawn" in the nether. Initially the purpose of the nether was fast travel. When all portals lead to the same place, it can't be used for this. Any opinions?

i am rather noob in this game, so i have a few questions, is there a way too use the furnice cart with an emty cart in front of it? it works great on its one but if i put an cart infront of it, it stalls. Tried googling for answers but i cant seem too find any answers, using the gold tracks is too expensive :p

Alternative to gold boosters would be minecart boosters, but I'm not sure they will work with the newest update. Try searching google/youtube for C-boosters

@sprite, they removed the ability too bost the carts, but i found out u dont need gooldrails all the way, just put a few here and there. Worked like a charm

server is messed up, dont know what happend? was this thread closed? cause i see kuskela says its beeen reopened?

And no i didnt blow up your castle.. i have removed my tnt canon or malah blew it up. no damage to your castle when i was last on! And i have no idea why i am standing there.. havent been on for ages since battlefield 3 is out

I just remembered something!
When I was a student, some of my nightly visitors weren't too bright. They would aks me if they could put on a song on youtube, and I would tell them that my ISP shuts down the internet connection at 8pm.They ALL believed it! Then I would put one of my records on.

Ugh...

I'm gonna have to get a replacement harddrive for the dedi...

The one that was in it has somehow passed away. (Methinks it was a combination of age and the sudden loss of power during a backup cycle that somehow killed it... but I dunno.)

Stupid Thailand and its floods making hdds so darn expensive...

So yea, server might be AFK for a while.

(Feel free to come with suggestions for making the server more fun once it comes back online...
I'd like to see some more activity.)

I have talked to Kakkaman and hes currently busy and cant run his server for atleast another month. I would therefor like to offer you guys to play on mine. Its almost 1 year old now and fairly robust. Its a dedicated 24/7 linux box with powerful hardware. Extensive logging and rollbacking capabilities aswell as frequent backups and a huge map make it a nice play to build your dream creations. Several custom aswell as common plugins allow for extra content without the need for a client mod together with the normal commands you are probably used to from other servers.

Server: Eden
Type: Online, Bukkit, MultiWorld, Economy and Custom Content.
Major worlds: Eden (Survival) and Dreamland (Creative)
Minor worlds: Badlands (PVP)

Host: mc.nub.nu
Map: http://mcmap.nub.nu

There is no whitelist but all new users are required to read the /rules 1-5 ingame before they are promoted by a Moderator. Its basically common sense and not to cause trouble for others. The server is strict on no cheating, everything is built legit, ie no spawning or flying (exception is creative) but the server will provide you with all that you need in each world.

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K
RAM: 16GB DDR3 Dual Channel
HDD: 2x SATA 220GB Raid0
SQL: Locally hosted for optimal performance.
RAMDisk: For server and maps.
