Sadly, no. (I noticed I didn't use --lighting the first time around... (FACEPALM))

And it will update only every hour...
I noticed it uses 100% CPU power even if all it does is update the map.
(Updating takes like ~1 minute though)

Takes roughly 30 minutes.

I somehow got it wrong again... But now I need sleep. I'll work some more in the morning.

The server is back up. No real-time map yet.

You should setup cpu affinity and only use one of your cores so you don't freeze up the entire computer or something.

Damnit, i hate how misplacing one block of lava can mess shit up, and it takes forever for the stream of lava to disappear after the source i placed is removed.

Okay so I am kinda stumped here.
I have no idea how to make the map availible to you guys.

Anyone have any experience?
The map itself is about 200-300 megs of pictures, handled by an index.html file...

EDIT: WHOA.

Okay I'm changing the mapping to once a day until the dedicated hardware is fixed.
Way, WAY too much lag otherwise.

this overviewer seems to cause much trouble, is it worth the work for having a map that noone is really gonna take a look at after the first time ?


im down for every big project you guys have in mind, but it has to have carts
im really obsessed with the railroad system in this game i just like to build railroads and stations and such.

Well the problem is that I use the same computer for everything.
And the minecraft client and server use hideous amounts of RAM...
So when Overviewer taxes the CPU on top of that... MADNESS.

So I just set overviewer to only update once a day, in the middle of the night.

Hosting is on the way, though.

The game is neat, but too buggy for me to slap down cash atm.  Also, why did they go with Java?  I would have used XNA/DirectX/C# or something.  Which many clones are being worked on via that route atm.
