Ugh. Stupid offline mode enabling anyone to log in with whatever username they want.

I'll go and replace your gold Naz... I think I know the place.

EDIT: Okay, I'm sorry to everyone affected, but yes: We had a griefer last night.

Stupid offline mode combined with permissions being based on username rather than IP allowed him to use my name to do all sorts of shit.

I've banned his IP, and I have a backup of the world from yesterday morning.

Should I restore it?

Okay so my entire PC is pretty much compromised.

I have no way of knowing how badly, but I'm gonna take the safer route and just reformatting.

It'll take me maybe ~2 hours, and then I'll be back with the world from yesterday morning.

Hopefully, this is the last we see of the wierd WTF-thisshitiscrazy griefer.
(Seriously, he did some WIERD shit for a griefer. And I think he knows Bukkit better than I do.)

imo, a new map :/
maybe add some chests full of useful shit to start building though (smooth stone, glass, bricks, dyes)

edit: moosdijk, that may have been me, depending where your cave is, i started a lavafall and realised about 20 mins later it fell on someones lair, i got rid of it and most of the cobblestone that the water made, but dunno if i got it all.

No it wasn't that one.
I've got a big ass cave shaft under my house.
at the bottom of the shaft there was some lava encased in glass.
That glass was removed for a bit.

Less CPU usage yay!

Okay, so the server is back online. The griefing is undone... I think.

Okay so I caved in and installed Python 2.6.6 on my computer so I can run the latest overviewer.

Doing the initial render now... Holy balls 120 832 chunks.

boselect... Now I mad.

EDIT: This looks like it'll take 2-3 hours.
After that I can turn the server back on while it renders the tiles for the map.

EDIT: Sigh. The world is simply too big at this point for a Google Maps style map.

Not without exporting it into a new world... Which would cause a loss of chest data.

So the dedicated hardware is working slightly more than it used to...

But it still lacks a working graphics card.

But we might soon have a dedicated server, with an onsite-hosted dynamic map.

... I hope.
