is this true blue dongle still needed? IIRC i read something about it beeing reverse engeniered and emulated via PKG file? is this method working now? have any drawbacks?

Right now true blue is the only way your can play 95% of the games out there, but has been alot of hacked eboots for 3.55 lately, but another old team is working on a new dongle right now and those guys released a few eboots to games thats not available with true blue either so im waiting to see whats gonna happen there first.

So what if I get a new console right now? I don't need the online multiplayer ever as I will never go online with it. I just need to play a few PS exclusives like uncharterd, Red dead and God of war.

If I get a new console(I guess it will be on the latest firmware), is it possible to play pirated games?

The PS3 Jailbreaking scene has been stagnant for some time too(at least I haven't heard anything revolutionary in the pipeline).
No PS3 for me

Great news for a very long time by the good old E3TEAM

Great news from E3TEAM

We announced in advance last week that E3TEAM will release a great news for all ps3 user.

Here is our official claim:

1: E3TEAM will release all PS3 game free in public.
* It allow any 3.55CFW play all the new game without dongle.
* Just like the free eboot released by E3TEAM before.

2: E3TEAM will release the new key free in public.
* User can decrypt the new game by himself in few seconds .
* Please note all the release will be free with NO pay.

E3TEAM are building a full new system to release those free gift.
* We expect user can join this sytem to get what they want after 1-2 month.
* We will release more news about this system later.
* (PS: all is for downgradable console )

They already did 6-8eboots and a few thats not even available for the true blue dongle, so just the wait time is left and we are hopefully able to join the huge amount of games we been missing out on, with the 3.55cfw.

What exactly does it mean ? What is the latest FW ? I only updated mine last week to play GT5 again, I have never flashed it or modded it in anyway since it seemed a nightmare and not worth it.

For enable all this you just install the cfw like any retail firmware there is none work to it and its 99% safe.

As for playing games its really easy throw them on a usb hd or ftp to the ps3 then use a manager to load the games its not much work really, since your running the ps3 with cfw it runs just like normal firmware only your able to run homebrew.

Anyone know if they will be releasing an eboot for ufc undisputed 3? i've been waiting for ages.

Also theres a tool where you can patch the games yourself however, I dont know if all games are supported. Again does anyone know if this app supports ufc undisputed 3?

DEX is easy enough to do and is quite simply the best way to play new ps3 games.

The BD emulator due out soon I think will be excellent for gaining PSN access and being able to play all the latest games and having the latest official firmware however I would rather homebrew than PSN personally.

Well lvl0 keys got leaked and cfw4.21 is out now but spoofed to 4.25 so every game can be playd up to 4.25 which is the latest on the ps3, i know 4.30 is comming in a few days but its a shit load of games to play until they work that out when games will require new firmware.

Main question is - will i be able to use multiman as i do now?

Of course - theres also the argument to wait until 4.30 CFW.

Only if your willing to take a risk as it might just brick your PS3, from what ave read ALL CECH-25xxx systems WILL brick if you try to update to rogero 4.21 CFW so check what model your system is first.

Yes you will be able to use MM as it has been updated (2 times) since this CFW came out

tho any 3.55 patched games will need org eboots

You would be best to wait a few days and see what happens with 4.30CFW afterall theres a good chance it will come out very soon, untill then you can prob get by with the 3.55 eboots that are slowly coming out (res evil 6 etc). IF you do try it be aware that the PS button isnt working correct, you can still quit game if you hold it or press eject to get back tot he XMB.

I myself took the risk today on my CECH-2103A PS3 and it paid off (thank god haha) and am just about to dive into Dishonored as it seems to be working. (it seems game update work just fine also)

EDIT: also ive read somthing about having to resign psx/psn games to 4.21 as well as any homebrew

there's always a risk of bricking to be honest - so the more you wait - the more stable the CFW get

you're right tho. ill wait for 4.30 and also to make sure most 3.55 games get resigned like you say. im merely quite eager to play ProEvolution 2013 :-)

Yes dont use the 4.21cfw rogero also pulled the firmware and is working on a proper that wont brick your ps3, those that have gotten it to run got problems in xmb also not working as intended, but quite alot of games been getting 3.55patch the last days so you can get some of the bigger titles working still, waiting myself to see whats gonna happen as im in no rush.
