If you did drop it into the wrong one, remember that you can always use for example Comgenies Awesome File Manager to move the files to the right folder, so you don't have to wait another 4hrs for the files to be transferred (which is really long, damn!). The newest versions of MultiMAN also have a file manager built in for this purpose.

Just unjailbreaked my ps3. Felt like there is no point for me to have it on my PS3, can’t run any of the latest games without the new firmware and I kind of missed PSN

What were your procedure to unjailbreak safely? I would like to keep the legit game saves. I might do this soon as well.

i just deleted the games i had on the harddrive, then all the jailbreakon apps and then just updated the to latest firmware and i kept everything and also managed to sync my trophis too.

You don't have to touch any of the eboot files if your trying to launch a game that's encrypted for older FW versions (i.e. games released before this summer). If you launch a game from Multiman you'll always end up back in the XMB. But when you have launched it from Multiman the icon for the game in the XMB should have changed to the one you've launched from Multiman, not the actual game disc you have inside. If you're trying to launch a game without an actual game inside the console, after launching it from Multiman you'll have to choose the /app_home/PS3_GAME-option that you'll find in the XMB above the game icons, below saves.

You can always delete the game data from the, game data menu that's highest up in the game folder in the XMB. You can bypass updates by just pressing O when it tells you to update.

Just heard about this, looks interesting

what if I assure you that the wait is worth it, and that once this JFW published with a full achievement will play all future games (including the 37x version, etc.).

Seems to somehow avoid the different firmware keys being required to launch a game. No idea how or if it's possible, but would be good if something useful did come out of it

No probs mate. I'm happy to help when I can. I've been fighting with several ps3:s for so long that now when I know something, I'll happily share.

Interesting news! Apparently Duplex still hasn't released any of these games though.

can somebody link me a tutorial how to get back to OFW safely? or tell me what i should tell my friend? what needs to be done? unistall multiman? google only gives me only tutorials to go from OFW->CFW... thanks

#1432379 by Moosdijk (Power User) at 2011-09-30 15:26:42 (1 year ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

Only real thing you should do is delete all the games, game managers etc off the hard drive. That's unless you don't mind formatting the hard drive. Otherwise yeah, just let the PS3 update it's self and job done.

Probably best not to update though, those 3.55 firmware PS3's are a bit thin on the ground now a days and without some special USB adapter you can't go back to 3.55

thaks for repys, i dont want him to get banned a week later

its really a shame that all those new games arent working.. do you guys think somethink big will come the next weeks? i read demonhades was going to release some new exploit.. but that might as well be a rumor...

#1432506 by unknown[9089] at 2011-10-01 11:50:37 (1 year ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

Banned? What makes you think that?

Sony have said that users with unofficial modifications should upgrade to official firmware, you will not get banned for having a CFW then updating to OFW, even if Sony are able to tell you once had CFW.

They just want people back on OFW spending money on games and the Playstation Store.

LMAO @ the impatient people who updated and thought the "scene" was dead.

It was the same deal with the original jailbreak dongle everyone screamed fake all over, we just gotta be paitenced im sure in a few weeks more information will be released about this can just hope they can reverse engineer the dongle and maybe let us have a free cfw to work without the dongle as im sure suppliers gonna take a redicilous price for it like jb dongle was.

#1437093 by unknown[9089] at 2011-10-23 14:21:15 (1 year ago) - [Quote] - [Report]Top

It would be pretty damn awesome if eventually we can re flash our old dongles with the goodies inside the JB2 to save buying another dongle but of course we need the dongle ripped apart to know what options we have.

Cheaper clones are inevitable though.

edit: btw PSX Scene went to shit a while back now.

Its not too bad like 200$ for a bluray burner and 25gb discs is 1-2$ just only the 50gb ones that cost.
