I got 80GB version BC and after reflowing CPU Blu Ray drive is spinning but doesn't show CD-DVD-BR(it did before), do you know what's the problem? I replaced BR laser from another PS3 but results are same.

Hey.. I just Kmeaws 3.55 custom firmware installed on my ps3 with the latest multiMan.. I managed to run some games, i got off *you know where*.. But can someone explain to me, how do i make back-up's of my own games and run em off the harddrive? Do i just use the copy option from MultiMan or do i need to mess around with the PARAM.SFO and EBOOT.bin files as well? I tried googling, but no luck.. :S

Copy function in multiman will be fine, if the games your backing up are reasonably old then you shouldn't need to do anything other than hit copy in multiman.

Thanks.. =) And what if they are recent? Would i need to do anything different? Of course not the ones past 3.55...

if they are shipped out with 3.60/3.61 keys you can copy them over but cant play them
you have to wait to sony sends out an update with 3.55 keys and then download a cracked version
for now i do think its only LA Noire they have done it to(big titles)

Actually quite a few 3.60 games are working now I believe, LA Noire, Infamous 2, Brink, Hunted The Demons Forge, MX vs. ATV Alive and a couple of others I think.

Some still are not though

Guys, whats the latest on the PS3? I am planning to get one soon and I want to run pirated games on it. So, what should I look for in it? Also, How will I come to know of the version number if the pack is sealed? Thanks.

Just buy one second hand, like I did.
Buy the 320 Gb model though, I've got the 250 Gb one and it's a little bit too small.

Well if you only buy it to play pirated games good luck with finding a new console in a store atleast, better check up ebay or something since stores only have 3.56+ firmware consoles these days which you cant do anything about now.

There's a pre-installed firmware present. The new ones usually have 3.56+ so it's tricky when buying a new one. (3.56+ isn't "hackable" or able to downgrade)

Not an easy method, but if the door is open to downgrade somehow then it'll probably get bought to the masses in an easy to do method soon enough

Hi

i just recently downgraded my ps3 FW to 3.41 and installed gaia manger,backup manager, and one more that i cant remember, i downloaded a few games like sonic,god of war etc...

so how do i begin playing games on my ps3, i hear that you can use an external hard drive to play the games from.....?

do i need to check something before i transfer the games from my computer to the external hard drive?

should i upgrade to 3.55?.

anyone got any more info for me that would be great...

Showtime media player already sorted it ages ago
